There's a couple of point's in Martin's article. According to BT's Terms and Conditions, to get BT Answer 1571 free you must make at least two chargeable or inclusive calls with BT within that month otherwise you will charge you £0.98 a month for the BT Answer 1571 standard service. However BT has introduced a condition that you must make at least one chargeable call per month if you're on the Weekend or Evening and Weekend plan. Otherwise, you revert back to line rental only and you will be charged for all the inclusive calls you have made that month. Beware - what BT gives in one hand, it takes back with the other!0

The offer worked for me, used that link, typed my number in to check availability, came up with details about the discount, and went through order process. The paperwork I've been sent in the post DOES mention the discount has been applied. Did you try using the link and at least doing the availability checker? It did say the offer was only available to the first 2500 people that applied.
As i understand it, the £10.50 is for the talktalk phone line rental only. The £6.49 bit is for the free eve and weekend and international calls, and for the broadband. This is the bit that one can (could) get for free through this offer for twelve months of the eighteen month contract.
Here's hoping it's a bit more reliable than the abysmally unreliable 3 mobile broadband that i'm relying on at the moment. My go live date is 14th of this month.
I hope you're wrong about the "first 2500 people" - it didn't mention anything like that for me. The details explained the offer and it stated that even though the £16.99 a month would appear there, that the first £6.49 will be taken off for the first 12 months. I guess I won't know until I get the pack through but it'd be a shame if it didn't work - the guidance on the MSE page just by doing it online through that link should work.
Can our forum member TALKTALK_SUPPORT provide any clarification on this please?0 -
Seeing that they have a really cheap offer of £14 for Brd + line rental + international calls I wanted to move.
Apparently its available here in Northern Ireland but would like to know how good it is? If anyone came across any problems?
Thanks0 -
A nice person from TalkTalk just called to ask if I'd like to transfer by home phone and broadband to them, which was kind of handy because it just so happens that I would. I was offered the standard £16.99 a month bundle, which is OK but not as good as the offer as advertised on MSE.com -

However when I follow the link from this site to TalkTalk's and complete the 'Check Availability' form I don't see the offer price (£10.99 for first 12 months). Can anyone tell me if this offer still exists, and if so how I can use it?
Ta.
edit - sorry that this post is a bit on the duplicated side, question still stand though.
Offer is still available, but only in certain areas. Best to double-check and call Talk Talk 0800 049 1374
(I followed the MSN link for the £14 pm deal, and was quoted £31.99 per month - more than I'm currently paying - phoned Talk Talk and they confirmed that this was the correct price for my area as they are not connected to the local exchange in Chatham,Kent)

I have been with Talk Talk for a long time now and get no problems, have unlimited calls all day £9.00 and I also pay them line rental - 9.99 and last year I left Aol broadband which I was paying 15.99 month and Talk Talk took the wireless broadband on with no charges, must stay 1 year with them but don't intend to leave anyway. So I pay for 084 & 087 calls if I make any and mobile calls I pay an extra £1.00 and get a discount on them. Plus calls international are free. Billing done online they let me know when bill is going to be debited 2 weeks before and I go online and check. So saved nearly £200 a year now. Very pleased as have two teenagers that are always on the phone.0

Just to clarify Talk Talk bill £9.00 month plus 9.99 a month line rental obviously VAT on top of bill.0

The offer of £10.50 for 12 months is still available. For details follow this link
