Hi
In your case they may well have only searched Equifax, but others have reported that they also search Experian.
I'm a NatWest customer and in all cases when I have applied for their products they have searched BOTH Experian and Equifax.
Also when I applied for a MINT credit card (RBS group) they searched only Experian.

Natwest searched me for a current account with Equifax and then after I sent the forms back followed up with Experian.0

That could be the issue with me then. Natwest kept accepting internet applications from me and then screwing things up after that, so I guess they didn't get to the stage of an Experian search.
What about Natwest credit cards? Who do they search and when?
Thanks0 -
I recently applied for a Virgin Credit Card and Halifax.
They only searched Experian - but left no search footprint!
FIRST Direct only search Experian and if they dont get enough search Equifax as well.
As for Call Credit they are reporting everyone I have dealt with (AMEX, EGG, Marbles, Halifax and Barclays fro Bank Account).
I use the 3 agency report with checkmyfile but checkmyfile cannot show me a proper experian report for some stupid reason!

I don't know if it's been posted before but Virgin Mobile search and report to experian for sure but not I'm not sure if they report to others too and they also use an internal credit scoring system if you are an existing customerDFD: 2017  | Savings: £1

.
The only search they do is a soft search on Equifax? They don't look at Experian at all?
Does their search show up as one that other lenders can see or one that only you can see? Anyone else have anything to add to this?0 -
Well being my first reply I best add some info as I watch this site a lot for tips and help. anyway
I got recent from EQ and EX reports , i never tried CC but few to note maybe
Clydesdale Mastercard (10 years I had it) does not update on EE or EQ , it is part of Yorkshire bank i believe
Abbey Current Bank Account (Joint) - EX and EQ
Co-op Bank (CreditCard) - EX and EQ
Vodafone - EX and EQ
BofS Current Account - EX and EQ
BofS Loan - EX and EQ
Capital One Credit Card - EX and EQ
Mail Order (Kays Catalougue) - EX and EQ
Accord Mortgage - EX and EQ
Equifax has more past searches and data on it even though its all years out of date so looks worse than the Experian report. Experian I gain a more than fair score where Equifax is middle of road.
anyway hope that info might help somebody

I had specifically come here to report that Argos search Experian.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
