UNDERGROUND wrote: »STORE CARD HOLDERS
Any store card holders out there, could you please let me know which credit reference agency was used when you applied, or if you already hold one which agency they report to.
Especially for popular stores like Next, Arcadia (Burton, Dorothy Perkins), House of Fraser, Top Shop etc.
Many thanks

Hi UNDERGROUND
House of Fraser search Experian. Their card is run by GE Money.
Next - They use Equifax0 -
I did have a hunt around for mortgage CRB checks, but couldnt find anything, and as this thread is comprehensive anyway the only thing it is missing is a mortgage section (especially relevant in the climate today!). If anyone can point me in the direction of a thread which shows who Halifax use for mortgage applications I would appreciate it!0

And to help others here:
RBS Credit cards report to Ex, Eq, CC
Cahoot Credit cards and current accounts report to Ex, Eq, CC
Close Brothers Credit Cards report to Eq0 -
I recently got my own credit report from the creditreport.co.uk web site.0

Cool, ok well my mortgage history:
GMAC RFC search and report to Experian;
MAS No5 search EQ & EX and also report to EQ & EX.
- Both the above are self cert specialist mortgages max 80% LTV as well if that helps. Avg APR is 5-7% which was good as well (rates from around 2007 when I last swapped mortgages)
Abbey search Experian and report to EX & EQ.
Yes, had a few mortgages! LOL2010 - year of the troll

To be honest Halifax tend to switch and swap dependant upon what info they have about you. I got a MIP from Hfx but they searched both EX & EQ but one of my mates has one and they report nothing, no mention of a search either which is well weird - but there is the usual ID Verification search (soft search) on both EX & Eq.
Does that make sense? Halifax seem to do whatever suits them on that particular day.2010 - year of the troll
