Pigpen - my heart goes out to that girl - thank goodness there are people like you willing to get involved. at her parents, if it was my daughter it would not be the ideal situation but surely thats what family is about, supporting each other no matter what.

Yeah like not giving a damn about your baby when it gets older!!!
I worked for a few years with teenage mums and babies in a residential place, some of them had been practically dragged up and their parents were no support whatsoever except to complain about them and their extra mouth to feed. Part of my job was to ensure the mother bonded with the baby and a firm attachment was established. Try teaching those skills to someone who has never had any experience of bonding or loving parents. Used to totally pee me off, those girls were really trying to make a go of motherhood and once they left us (usually when baby was 6 mths they had little/no support)

Will really go and get dressed now!

Right - halifax sorted - BT of £1410 to that card on 0% until Novemeber 09 :D Minimum repayments will be about £30 and thats all I'm going to pay :o

Now I need to sort my bank out. I don't know whether to ring up and tell them I don't want the overdraft and I want a loan instead, or just do my damnest to get my overdraft paid off and see where that leaves me  ATM my debt with Natwest is £4066 in total and I don't know what to do next. Time for a budget I think. :o But first I need to go and finish my tutorial about debt - then some of the financial tools on the DVD might help me make up my mind about what to do. :rotfl: Right, off I go....

    Afternoon all

Not got very far today, I popped to town on my bike to go to the bank, bakers and JL and kept bumping into people and chatting.

Wash on the line and DW emptpied but that is it.

Not sure when friend (the one returning the dog) will turn up so going to try to get on until then.

HHC first to try to get the place tidied and then to the hoover.

    This week:

    Sow seeds
    Sort insurance Quotes
    Pay tax
    Sort pile in Family Room
    Ads for corner shop/ebay
    House accounts.

OH should find out about his contract/job this week so fingers crossed pleased flyladies.

    Nothing done yet:o

Currently on phone to see if council will collect large dysfunctional organ. Great opportunity to browse...

Darn - they answered really quick so no opportunity to update on Weezl's latest thread and they don't collect organs or pianos. Don't understand why, when they are happy to collect gas cookers. Sigh.

I suppose I really need to get a move on. I will get a move on, just after I have finished this cuppa...

    Afternoon all

Two loads of washing done, including DD's bedding, and most of it dry already and put away.

I still do the kitchen on Mondays and that's been done. Also damp wiped living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

    DD's bed remade.

Not a bad day here, mostly cloudy but dry and breezy. That's why I've done DD's bed today and I'll do mine tomorrow. I think it's supposed to rain later in the week......unless they change their minds again!

MrsV, I laughed about the pigeon but I bet it was like a farce at the time:D

    Good morning all!
SIL has still not had the baby so they are inducing her today. Seems the baby will be as stubborn as her mother!

I won't be doing the list as such this week but put together my own and post it later. House isn't looking too bad and I need to sort other stuff out.
The boys are flying out to my parents next Monday for a month and I will follow them on the Friday. DH will join us for the last 10 days and then we'll come home together.
Really looking forward to seeing friends and family again, it's 2 years since I went back last so will have lots of catching up to do, and there will of course be the new baby to coo over (trying to think of a way they'll let me keep it).
I'm a bit jittery as I'm not used to go away for that long, especially without DH, last time I only went for a long weekend by myself.

So I will mostly be washing, sorting and packing (and unpacking so I can pack again) and trying to figure out how we are going to fit everything in that I need to bring!
Loads of babystuff for SIL and books for a friend and.....need to find the box of stuff that wants to go there.

And yes, I do need a week to do the packing for those of you that raised your eyebrows! (Don't deny it I saw you!) I pack mentally twice and then twice for real to fit it in!

    Hugs and encouragement all around.

Also wanted to say that thank goodness that poor sixteen year old found pigpen - it really breaks my heart sometimes how kids are left to drag themselves up.

Please let us know how she gets on pigpen, I am sure we all wish her the best. I bet you could do without the complications, though
