Thanks for the tips Hex2. I always feel like I should have some fab mission statement about myself but have never been good at blowing my own trumpet.

Yes I am still here, will now start my HHC at 10.15.

Justamum - you made me laugh with your description of the sky colour - thankfully ours is back to normal grey today too - yet there was promise of summer weather - ridiculous really given that it is mid JULY!!!

Ok today is going to be a productive and pleasant day and tonight I will go to be content and un-stressed about the disgusting state of the back of our house!!!

Mysterious Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Wipe the bits on the stairs that need wiping.. skirting or just the exposed edges of the stairs.. mine look like fluff piles!
Tidy shoes, coats and bags ..
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
Extra Mission: Pick a task not your nose!–
    1. Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.. or box it up to sort through later!!
    2. Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
    3. 29 thing fling
    4. wash some grotty marks off your carpet!!
    5. HHI..
Supposed to be a lovely day [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE]today and so will try and get some more of the yard cleared - bank holiday here tomorrow and tues and council on strike wednesday so no dump until thurs but sure, looking it positively, that gives me lots of days to fill lots of bags!!

and I have a lodger.. the pregnant one.. this is the third night she has spent here.. I think I am not meant to notice... oops.. I did!! I'll be charging board very soon I think... she was 16 on Saturday so it is ok isn't it? I don't need to inform the local land registry or anything?

Pigpen - think the law considers her a child until 18 and her parents should be advised of her whereabouts, strictly speaking - however since they clearly don't give a sh@t and if she presented to police/soc serv they would just tell her to go home (and probably never check that she had!) I wouldn't be letting 'land registry' know but then I am a militant soc worker who thinks parents who don't go looking for their preggers 16 year old should be shot! (Thus why I no longer work in social services, yeehaa!) Poor kid must be worried sick inside - pregnant and having only mates and their families for support. Has she even been to the Dr?

Funnily enough the viewers who arrived just after the pigeon was evicted have just made an offer  Need to discuss with DH when he gets into work this afternoon and get back to the estate agent..............

RMC.. Yes she has seen the GP and got an appointment for her booking at the hospital. The only time her mother seems to want her is when she wants her younger siblings looking after (they are 3) Apparently her mother spent many year sbombed out on weed and alcohol so she is pickled and didn't do a very good job loking after her when she was little now she is better but not wonderful and explains why this one grew up too fast. I think the parents should be shot too.. putting a young girl in danger like this is unacceptable.

Then I guess the chances are if you called SS she is already known to them!
But if you are ok for her to stay for a while then I would leave it as they would probably shove her in a totally unsuitable hostel! Sad and then Joe Public wonder why teenagers go off the rails!

OK - I moved. Kitchen now s & s and smelling sweeter. I even cleaned the fridge. Next I will hoover through.

Ironing board is still up from doing DD1 school cardi this morning so I could do HHI as well I guess.

Pigpen - my heart goes out to that girl - thank goodness there are people like you willing to get involved. at her parents, if it was my daughter it would not be the ideal situation but surely thats what family is about, supporting each other no matter what.

Mrs V - Well done on the offer. With the market the way it is you've done a great job to get an offer immediately. Just hope its at the level you were hoping for x

I think.. from experience!.. they do better in proper homes anyway.. my friends mum fosters young mums with their babies.. the youngest she has had was 13 and all of them bar one are doing wonderfully well now.
