Should have a quiet day as I only did the living room on Saturday. Would like to get into the garden BUT waiting for a phone call re delivery of bookcases (did I mention I was getting new bookcases?)
Well, faffed around all morning waiting for phone. Called them after lunch.
Didn't do pick-up on Friday! Van went down today so delivery tomorrow. The 'girls' should have let us know about change of plan:mad:
Then (since I didn't have to wait in any longer) walked round to library. Library closed for local holiday.:mad:
Now off into garden with the secateurs.

I had a bit of dilemma when Neighbours switched to Channel 5.
Doctors/Neighbours:confused: Both on at the same time. Major dramas till I found out they show 2 repeats a day plus the omnibus at the weekends so problem solved.:D

I love Dr Who as well. Can't believe we've got to wait so long 2010? till the next series. Do you watch Torchwood?

    Hi

My internet wouldn't work last night so i couldn't post my list but i'm in.
I managed to get it all done by lunch time. I don't know whats wrong with me:confused:

No more mouse sightings thankfully so hopefully it was alone.

Last night i made my stepdaughter a birthday cake for tomorrow. i had iced it and wanted to write on it. I'd read somewhere on here about using greaseproof paper to make a piping bag. I managed to write happ before the bag colapsed.

I tried to make another one but where i'd rinsed out the nossle it still had water in and the y was all runny. My stepson then had the great idea of cutting the end off an empty icing pen we had and filling it with the icing. That worked really well until i looked at it and i had written BIRTDAY:o . I had to peel it off really carefully.

OH then said he wanted to do the rest as i was making such a mess. He finished it but his writing is bigger than mine so now it just looks odd. Oh well at least i tried. That was after one side of the cake came out of the oven 3 times the size of the other side.

I'm going to catch up with the thread now and then i'm going to make curry for tea.

Looking in early today as had to finish work early to collect DD from school.

No ill feeling for my fingers today - theyre not hungover and neither am I after my sniff of alcohol :D

Jill - I ask for receipts where possible and where not I keep a little pen and a post it note in my purse and scribble a spend down. Update weekly onto computer.

Pigpen - It prob was those drunken fingers talking but it is something that can be arranged but it would have a cost element, will prob send you a PM to talk about it if I remember. And I dont have bellyache from being a lighweight :rotfl:

MrsV - loved the pigeon story - it didnt mess anywhere did it as thats lucky, might be why you got an offer :p

    Shell - hugs

Suzieq - glad OH improving, hang in there with everything else.

Hugs and hello's to everyone else

Strange day for me and OH today. Some of you know he's a paramedic, today he gets a call to back up another crew to a resus job which was my ex father-in-law  . Unfortunately he died so he had to hang around until police arrived with all my ex's family knowing I'd left ex for OH  . Must have been awful for them all. No-one could get hold of ex either for ages as he's cycling in the peak district, but I've spoken to him since I got home and he's asked me to tell our DS that his Grandads died as he wont be home for 4 hours and hasnt even spoken to his mum yet. I'm sat here now waiting for DS to come in from his music lesson poor babe.

Might get a little flying in around comforting him, and then a lateish tea as everyone else not in until after 7.

Might see ya later if not take care

Afternoon all - flying zero - chatting too much.

Really must get on now. Friend came, she couldn't take the dog back - got almost there and turned around.

Hev - you sound much brighter this week. Seeds I plan to sow are more lettuce/parsley/spring onions. Biennials - wallflowers/foxgloves/hollyhocks -
    and some spinach.
