    Nite soappie!!

I'm very tired too. Been snarling at DH for the last 3 hours as he sat on his bum doing nothing whilst I'm running round like a blue arsed fly.

However there is a god. :T Puppy has stolen his work boots and left them at the bottom of the garden in the rain.:T:rotfl: They are now very wet and I feel much much better. Afterall, I did tell him to move them 3 and a half hours ago.

I have had a busy couple of days, and have got way behind with the thread. I have also got way behind with the flying, but I'll not mention that! After all, the children all have clean clothes and have been fed, and the house isn't so disgusting that I'd not let anyone in the front door.

The garden is looking pretty nioe, as I've been out there most of the time, or on the allotment. There are some jobs that needed doing before we go away, so I thought I'd take advantage of the sunshine. Just some extra seed sowing to do, oriental veg, and some autumn salads, and a bit more weeding, and I'm just about done!

I was gardening for a friend today, and too tired after to fly, but have done a mini flit around the kitchen.

Hugs for Shell - and her DD1. Have you tried teaching your DD to say very loudly 'Go away, don't you dare touch me' every time the other girl comes near? My niece is very shy and quiet, and had one of those bullying boys in her class. My sister practised this with her and her little equally shy friend, and together, they managed to make a stand at school, and then the teachers noticed. It made the boy think twice as well. Afetr a couple of times, he kept well clear. Look after yourself, and good luck for tomorrow.

pigpen - you also take care of yourself, and if symptoms persist, then go see the GP.

Jill - I now keep a little notebook in my bag, and note down every debit payment - now that I no longer use cheques, I lose track otherwise. Those lovely people over on debt free wannabe suggested it, and it works a treat. It took me a week or two to train myself to note it down immediately, and I also tuck the receipt into the notebook - it's one of those with the elastic band round, from WHS. I check online as often as I can remember, at least once a week, and do my end of month accounts as near to the end of the month as I can. I do my budget similar to the Grocery challenge. I kept all the receipts, then drew up categories, such as children, petrol, sainsbury's etc. When I knew roughly how much I needed for each, then I set the budget. And if that sounds impressive, well, I'm still struggling to stick to it!

lil_me - Hold on to your dream of where you want to be, and go for it. It doesn't matter if you take a little longer than you hoped, but you have a big responsibility as a mum and that's bound to take priority! I think you are amazing for doing what you do. Just sounds sometimes as if you have another big DS. I wouldn't undersetimate the effect of your health problems either. If you weren't feeling so tired and unwell, things would be so much easier to cope with. Have a huge virtual hug and a cup of tea to be going on with! Have you had any of your test results back yet?

I'm sorry if I have missed anyone out, trying to catch up on too many days' news!

Hi all - thanks for the hugs and messages (thanks button is not working). DS who is 16 on friday coped really well when I told him, probably too well as he hasnt shown any emotion yet. I'm a bit worried as his dad (my ex) has said to send him to work tomorrow which is with his other Grandad. Hoping that doesnt spark the emotional reaction as my dad doesnt do emotion. Have had a chat with OH now he's home and had a couple of glasses of red. Lucky for him that the other crew were there first as at least there cant be any accusations about him not doing his job properly, and it was their local GP who called it in the end.

Pigpen I'd prewarn your hubby - let him react from a distance :rotfl:

Done no flying at all again, kitchen's a bomb site, DW needs emptying before I can reload it, so off to make a start and hopefully an early night-ish (well this side of midnight would be good :p )
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Sorry but.........
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I had a bit of dilemma when Neighbours switched to Channel 5.
Doctors/Neighbours:confused: Both on at the same time. Major dramas till I found out they show 2 repeats a day plus the omnibus at the weekends so problem solved.:D

I love Dr Who as well. Can't believe we've got to wait so long 2010? till the next series. Do you watch Torchwood?

Actually you do have to laugh with some of the (infuriating at the time) things that 3 year olds do. She also got a pink felt pen today and drew round her mouth :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. That should take a few days to go! I was thinking of taking a photo and posting it on here so you could all have a laugh. She also drew a smiley face on her chest. Mind you I think she's clever because she drew it so that it is the right way up when you look at it, so she was drawing it upside down.

Re the tv - I used to watch Neighbours, but we don't get channel 5. Dr Who is brill (David Tennant  - you can see from my avatar). There are some specials on before 2010. I don't watch Torchwood. It's on a bit late for me.

Last night i made my stepdaughter a birthday cake for tomorrow. i had iced it and wanted to write on it. I'd read somewhere on here about using greaseproof paper to make a piping bag. I managed to write happ before the bag colapsed.

I tried to make another one but where i'd rinsed out the nossle it still had water in and the y was all runny. My stepson then had the great idea of cutting the end off an empty icing pen we had and filling it with the icing. That worked really well until i looked at it and i had written BIRTDAY:o . I had to peel it off really carefully.

OH then said he wanted to do the rest as i was making such a mess. He finished it but his writing is bigger than mine so now it just looks odd. Oh well at least i tried. That was after one side of the cake came out of the oven 3 times the size of the other side.

It's very much the thought that counts. And it will taste miles better than one of those cardboardy things you can spend a fortune on in Tescos. It was recently the birthday of my DD1's best friend. Her mum is my friend and I know she's not the greatest of bakers, so I made a birthday cake for her and took it round. Nothing special - just a chocolate cake with icing and candles - but she was really touched and delighted.
