Can't say the lounge is anywhere near immaculate but nevermind. Tea in the oven and might do a quick 10 minute iron with DD2 in high chair while tea finishes off.

Having a 'totally uninspired with food' week. Everything I think I might make I'm missing an ingredient (usually a major one like potatoes!) So we are on fish fingers and chips for tea. Was going to do homemade potato wedges but used all potatoes for roast dinner with the in-laws yesterday so oven chips it is unfortunately.

Best go and strap DD2 down before DD1 loses it with her.

Kaz - hugs for you and your DS. A very "unusual" situation for your OH too, must have been difficult to keep a "professional" face. Hope DS does not take the news too badly. How old is DS??

Kids wanted to pack so thought it would be a good idea to get a head start. Their case is filled with all they need accept undies so another thing crossed of the list. I even remembered to put DD2 armbands in etc. Must put sunhats in too.

I must dig out some of my "big bum" jeans that are too big for me now and attemp to do a pair of cut off shorts. I dont do shorts in public so will be fine for doodling round at mums - we have Dads rose garden to prune. This seems so strange 'cos its not a holiday but as its gonna be so hot over there need to think of practical stuff.

I am getting a blooming cold too. That will be good for tomorrows interview:rolleyes: . Am wondering what drugs to take to blast the thing away. Have taken a zinc capsule to up my immune system, will down a carton of OJ later for the vit c too.

Waiting for DH to ring to say on way home and then I will reheat the curry, grate the veggies, cook of the noodles and scoff. I dont think having a cold is gonna help my diet much:o :rotfl: .

I will get to these this evening. My friend left her daughter for a sleepover tonight (my eldest and her d were good friends at DD1 old school) unfortunately I dislike the girl with a passion - she will not let DD2 play with them and gets DD1 to shut doors in DD2 face or run away from her or send her to get them things and then change her mind about wanting them), but what makes it worse is that through another friend I have heard that this girls has been making nasty comments about my dd so my feelings towards her at the moment are not great, roll on bedtime. I have already made up an excuse to take her back home first thing tomorrow.

Off to make tea now plain pasta and slices of ham as the visitor doesnt eat anything else

    back later
    Sorry were others

Your jam looks good - is it the recipe I posted?
labels are VERY impressive - I just type mine! Mind you I've done blackcurrant this weekend. Can't post that recipe - dairy book of home cookery - but it's also easy!
    Keep it up!:T

    Evening all

Shell – you have mail – and good luck with the interview tomorrow
Mrs V – congrats on the offer – you should be putting some bird seed out in the garden as a thank you to that lucky pigeon!
Justamum – thank you for your tale about the taxman – I’d forgotten I need to pay my second instalment of the year by the end of this month – I’ll do that in a moment
Pigpen – beans on toast is one of the most nutritionally balanced meals you can have. And with a egg, they’ve got the icing on the cake (or is it the protein on the toast?)
Kaz – what a peculiar situation! It must have been awfully awkward for everyone.
Pigpen – such a difficult situation with the young girl. I applaud your generosity.

I am really, really tired this evening and am definitely having an early night. I need to leave a little bit earlier tomorrow so I can drop my car off at the vauxhall garage near work to have it's MOT, 50,000 mile service and some little bits fixed like the rear windscreen wiper which has packed up and a tracking check on the wheels. I had new tyres about 3 months ago. The wheels were balanced etc. but there's still a bit of a wobble if I go over 65mph so I think they need fine tuning.

It was a slow day at work - and I was struggling with systems that weren't working. They were still not working when I left. Maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day.

Ex has emailed back....seems he's living on his own .... I have yet to ask him what happened to the b*tch he left me for......I'm saving that one :rotfl:Seems he often visits this area of the country pursuing a hobby of his. I can see if things go as smoothly as they are email wise at the mo we may well end up meeting. Hmmm - would that be good or bad?

Anyway, better get my bum off this seat, pay the taxman, muck out the car so it's respectable for the garage tomorrow and then find some dinner before falling oh, so very very very gratefully into my bed.

Mrs V - Well done on the offer. With the market the way it is you've done a great job to get an offer immediately. Just hope its at the level you were hoping for x

Thanks Shell, still thinking it over.

Just shown our 6th viewers around and another one due at 7pm, followed by another at 12 tomorrow.........

Going to try and catch up on the thread properly after they have gone :o
