*crawls in & checks watch*
Morning all... *groan*
My neck hurts.. my chain has snapped off my locket so I am undressed. I got the first item from my next sale order.. a little bag for DD4 for CHRISTMAS!!! My little pinks are done now I think.. I need uniform for September for the boys some clothes for college for DS1 and then XMAS presents for the bigger 5..
RMC.. I am doing hamper things for my sisters.. I have scouted on the freebies forum here and got loads of bits to throw in them.. so far other than the initial REDUCED cost of the vessl (sis 1 has an apple green wicker basket and sis 2 has a large red make up box) I have probably spent less than £5 on each of them and they are half full. I am thinking of doing one for my mother too.. Last year I got my stepdad one full of wines and cheeses which he loved so I'm thinking of getting him another of those this year.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Suppose I should go throw DD1 out of her bed if she is thinking she wants to go spend her birthday money..mind you my head is saying if she really wanted to go she would get out of it without being nagged and I really don't want to take her anyway..
dd2 has started wearing the crop top bra style things so I wonder if she is actually coming round to the idea that wearing a bra would be a good idea.. I bet the ones I have upstairs would fit her... I may go sneak them out and see..
I've just ordered 4 new bras from Figleaves..... hope the blooming things fit though.. I am down to one now.. and that is a bit on the tight side and the wires are really big so they rub on my sides after a bit.. I bent the top out so it rubs less.. that quidco payment should clear in time for christmas shopping too.. I have £68 on there this month!!
Oh.. and I knew I had lost weight while hubby was away.. so that must mean it is his fault I am fat!! 5lb off in a week!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon flying friends and welcome Kate
Just packed OH and 3 boys off camping so peace until about midday tomorrow.
I've been to Mr T to get a couple of bits for them and managed to get a half price shortie wetsuit for DS1 for when we go to cornwall so am very pleased - it would have been more to get one from ebay 2nd hand and postage.
Got kids to all strip their beds before they went so I need to put that on the line.
Plan is to:
back garden weeding/grass etc
tie in toms
feed plants
sow seeds
sort gardening books
dig up pots
plant out leeks
house accounts
more insurance quotes
pay tax
bit of filing
long soak in the bathThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon ladies and welcome newbies.:hello:
I've had a thoroughly busy morning playing Delicious 2 on Zylom.:o I did very well and got on to the high score board.:D:D
Anyway, will do a bit of flying today. The house is pretty much ok as I've managed to keep up all week so won't be doing anything major. It doesn't really need it anyway. All ironing is done:D and very little washing:D for once.
Tomorrow DD goes to nanny's till Wednesday, with the option of staying till Friday if she wants to. So I plan on working everyday next week if possible. Flying should be easy next week seeing as my mini [STRIKE]tornado[/STRIKE] flylady won't be here.
RMC - you've started something with this man flu/virus. DH got up this morning feeling v v poorly. He will have no sympathy from me, at all , ever again when he's ill for the following reason - RANT ON
We went to Spain when DD was very small. She stayed at Nanny's for the week. 3 days into the holiday I started to feel as if I had the flu coming, got and felt worse as the week went on. Plus had a very bad tummy to boot.
To cut a long story short:rolleyes:.....3 weeks after we return from holiday I was no better. Lost over a stone in weight:D:rolleyes: and finally went to the doctors. It turned out I had campylobactor food poisoning and needed antibiotics to get rid of it. It wasn't until I had a letter from the local Enviromental Health office confirming what I had (it is a notifiable illness) that DH finally realised and believed how ill I was. Throughout he'd said I was putting it on and I was a hypochondriac. All in all it was a good 2 months from start to finish before I felt better.
So there you have it - he will never have any sympathy from me ever, ever, ever, again.:D RANT OFF
Grrr wound myself up now. Off to find some flying to calm down.0 -
well my hubby is still in bed.. his foot is still manky too.. though it is looking a bit better now I made him soak it in dettol and put antibacterial cream on it rather than antiseptic.
I can't do 'pretending' to be ill.. if I am ill.. as in proper ill.. I am incapable of doing anything and sleep 24/7 until I am better.. when I had tonsilitis last year really badly and was ill for about 3 weeks he had to wake me up to take the tablets and force me to eat I couldn't stay awake. I was the same after I had tiddles too and had a raging water infection.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi everyone
Would you believe me if I said I JUST caught up on last weeks thread and am posting this reply from the bottom of pg2 of this one????? :rotfl:
I am so nosey though I just HAVE to know what you have all been up to!
The weeks are flying faster than ever and I seem to be getting less and less done. Posted on Stormy's thread and read on here for the last hour or mmmmm maybe more!
Hugs to you all and thanks to those that noticed I was missingOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Afternoon all.
I am trying to encourage the twins to join the flying bandwagon but they are not willing volunteers.
DS1 was given the job of vacuuming his bedroom and I think he must have just stood still in the middle of the room with vac.
DS2 has made a vague attempt at polishing.
I have spent about two hours so far sorting out their sty. I dragged everything out from under their beds. I have vacced away a thick layer of feathers and dust, discovered 10 odd socks, 2 pyjama tops, 2 vests, 1 peach stone, countless sweet wrappers and 37 army men (not real ones unfortunately:rolleyes: ).
The beds have all been stripped and washed (including the duvets)
The twins have been informed that if they fail to complete a task to a reasonable standard, they will be assigned another from the list, which at the moment is 4 pages long:eek:
DS1 has just said to DS2 "what colour are the easy jobs in?":rotfl:Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Afternoon all
Two loads of washing done, dried and put away including my throws.
Been to B&Q for wood stuff and the new gate has been stained. Also got more teak oil and I've done the garden benches. Been to cemetery, would have been FIL's birthday today.
Not much done in the house except S&S. Made a victoria sandwich for tea but had to scrape round enough stuff to make it. More coming Tuesday.
Nice sunny breezy afternoon now.0 -
Well my house looked lovely this morning. Now it is a pigsty. 3 hours of kids playing and the house has surrendered. I don't know how we are going to survive the school holidays.
On the bright side my order from the Next sale has arrived - all stuff for me. Haven't tried it all on yet though.
Hope everyone is having a nice day - I'm just going to go and start tidying up again because if I don't do it it will still be there next year. Than it will be time to cook dinner and do some ironing.0
