    Evening lovely ladies.

Nice to see some of you being very organised today. I have been trying to have a productive day, and it has mostly worked, but not as well as a normal day as we didn't get up till nearly 9 this morning, which meant DS1's nappy split, and meant a lot of tidying up.

    Achieved:
    • our bed and 2 cots beds stripped, bedding washed, although ours still to remake
    • DS1's duvet washed
    • towels washed
    • food shop done
    • trip to post office so DH could send some work stuff
    • food shopping away
    • updated online spending diary
    • checked online banking and moved some money
    • cake made for nephews to take away to caravan with them
    • cake delivered to my sister while visiting parents
    • fairy cakes made for us
    • bought the in-car DVD players for the boys to entertain DS1 when in the car next weekend while we are away (decided this can technically be instead of a large expensive xmas pressie as they are too young to know any different anyway)
not outstanding, but i did do an hour of ironing last night, and a bit of clothes sorting in the room of doom. Most of the ironed clothes are boys things for the main hols in August i think.

Aim for the rest of the weekend is to get the bag packed for next weekend, try and do some of the garden, get some stuff in the loft and some stuff out, do a meal plan, and get ourselves a bit more organised. Life is going to be extremely hectic over the next few weeks and it will take some getting our heads round.

Welcome to ragz and Kate and poppyoscar.

SSL - try this website for your cleaning dilemnas, someone here recommended it a bit back - never looked at it myself but it might help.

Night from me, and i will hopefully be in again tomorrow.

    Grrrr just lost my post.

Hiya to everyone, hope you're all well. Hello to the new posters.

I've not done much flying. I've spent the day playing lego with ds (how did he get to be old enough to start juniors in September!!) and a bit of gardening. Also managed (look away Lil_me) to do some christmas shopping for stocking fillers from Hawkin's bazaar and got the just william books on CD from the book people - all on quidco of course!!!

Tomorrow is going to be spent at the allotment and maybe a bit of work in the garden again. I'm determined to sort the garden out...it's been a bit neglected as we've spent all our time at the allotment. I'm trying to get dh to agree to get rid of two trees and replace them them with a cooking apple and another fruit tree. Think it will take some persuading though.

    Hugs to all xx

Why of why does paperwork sorting never end? I have done 2 hours of it. Loads in the recycling and compost but now I have a pile to file, a pile to action, a pile in progress and 3 piles I haven't even started! Calling it a day for now.

Pigpen - my plan is the same as yours for next week.
    Monday: DS1 room/clothes/shops/haircut/trainers
Tuesday: DS2 room/clothes - he hardly grows so doubt he'll need much and some stuff will be hand me downs.
Wednesday: OH hopefully home to fix blocked pipe, take boys gokarting/DS3 last day at school:
    Thursday: DS3 room/clothes
Friday: Take all unwanted stuff to charity shop/ads for ebay/corner shop

    There feel better now.

Do you use quidco or other cashback sites? I use them through the year as like a savings pot for xmas. I currently have just over £200 'free' money for xmas:D

Yeah but don't to make alot on quidco - can you swap house contents insurers in middle of the year?

The words CHRISTMAS and XMAS and YULETIDE and FESTIVE SEASON are NOT swear words but that word beginning with a 'c' which you keep saying is.. and the 'H' word people keep jetting off to is also very very rude!
:o sorry, kind of like that P word you go and water yourself in, oh well, you have your revenge because I am now starting to stress about the other swear words........I don't want to go and buy lots because we never know how long this house will last, don't want to 'move house with' lots of presents. I do have my £2 tin which is about 1/3 full, full it holds about £1000 so that's going ok. Gift vouchers, that'll be easy to transport if needs be.
REDMADCURLS yes but there is usually a fee for changing etc
SSL google it, you'll get loads of results. Urine smell I use a bicarb paste on the boys beds then do them with the vax. The site Michellementioned is good.
Mudbath I was the same on Thursday when they gave me DS2s uniform, I didn't want it, I wanted to leave it there.
nicki that made me laugh, makes you always want to know what the full story is!
boddy, that's really weird! I've never even considered taking someones gate off and I've done some rather bizarre things in the past. Hope you have a lovely holiday :)

What a night! Dog was in garden earlier, when I shouted him in I seen he was digging, walked out to get him and he ran round the garden with a hedgehog in his mouth, argh! Anyway eventually got him to drop it (this is why I wouldn't let Sonic out near him) but only when he got in the house. I've scooped it up and taken it to the field just a few hundred miles away in the hope it doesn't come back and it's ok (it did walk away) scrubbed myself as they're not the cleanest of little critters (wild ones that is) and got changed.

Anyway, got the kitchen finished when all that had been dealt with, haven't managed to get 2 of the washer loads out and another has been found so more to do tomorrow, however I have just checked the weather report and there is no rain forecast so there may be hope yet! The front garden needs doing desperately aswell so fingers all crossed. Did the freezer and fridges, all clean, flung a lot of stuff I've kept putting back in like furry jams (I didn't notice the fur) some very strong yakky smelling pickles etc, it's all listed now, there is actually more than I thought in there as usual. I am going to work a bit more on the meal plan in a mo, get a shopping list done for tomorrow (have to take the boys on my own, joys! actually DP is on about going somewhere a little more local, I might deposit one child with him as there is an Asda near there...) I was thinking of doing windows now but last time I did them late on they looked awful the next day so that can wait. Will have a look at my list after I have done the meal plan/shopping list and pick one more thing to do before bed.
One day I might be more organised...........

Ok I must be stupid - what are the words beginning with 'C' (not the festive one) and 'H' that PP is referring to?

Just read three pages from today - still no flying today - thats why I bragged so much on Thurs because I knew novelty was wearing off.
Went shopping for 'December gifts' - spent £100 in Boots but saved £40 and got 2000 points!!! Also into pound shop and Au Natural for baskets.
Came home to the messiest yard ever - DH had to dig out founds and of course left all the 'muck' where it landed - it is a complete mess out there but nothing i can do - it is a building site (we are converting garage into a kitchen for his work)
Update re yesterdays' illness - he moaned all day, coming down from bed intermittently, retired for the night at 10pm . I went to bed at 1.30, he was semi-awake and started to make 'advances'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so don't think so!
Today - recovered - death no longer imminent.

My DH had a manky foot recently. It was only a small wound, but it got infected. He eventually had to have antibiotics to heal it. He was off work for a week because he couldn't even wear socks over it!

This is a massive blister from the half marathon 3 weeks ago.. ut is about plum sized it is getting better now though.. and I just found a rusty inch long nail from the bedroom floor.. in my heel.. right to the head.. grab and yank out it came so we are now both hobbling about like freaks!!

We just have his bandaged so he can put socks on.. and go to work!

    Caravan and Holiday

    Sorry pigpen she asked

Right, just been looking online, there is a Somerfield and a Herons near where we are staying (within 3 miles) but no Asda/Tesco etc. What are these places like for prices etc now?? Anyone know ??? It's been a long time since I used either. I'd rather buy food there than cart a load of extra weight, just take the first night meal (making spag bol tomorrow to take) essentials like coffee, cereals, DSs waffles etc, [strike]must find a butchers aswell...[/strike] just found one on the same street at the supermarkets :D see other motive is I get to leave DP on site with the boys and wander round the local shops :D I'm not as daft as I am funny looking. No sign of a F&V shop so far but sure the butcher will be able to point me in the right direction.

Pigpen that sounds painful, is your tetanus up to date? :rotfl: I'd guessed what your response would be about him taking time off work :rotfl:

Why do free things taste nicer? I wouldn't usually eat apricot yoghurts but got them free today (due out of date at local F&V shop I use) but they taste nice...

Right another pile sorted and now I really must give in and get ready for bed. It seems so quiet without them all here, I really didn't think I'd miss them but I do a bit.

Time for DW/MW/Cat biscuits and set the teasmaid (I'll get both cups in the morning).

    Night all x

Back from the pub. Just to add insult to injury, the dog has poo'd on the cream carpet upstairs..._pale_ and I stood in it! We were only out for 1.5 hours! So I will be very busy tomorrow cleaning up various stains. Thanks for the website Michelle and I'll google my various stain problems lil_me.

And the reason I stood in the poo was because the lights have blown and I dont know how to fix them. Another job for tomorrow, I think.

Mrs V - did you accept the offer on your house?

Jjef - hope you enjoyed the concert. I've been to the castle concerts, once when it was chucking it down (Blondie) and once when it was lovely weather (Pink). The Pink concert was definately better :)
