I did steak last night which I froze when I got it reduced to £1 in Asda weeks ago. Cooked it from frozen with onions and whole tomatoes and it was just slightly overcooked on the edges.

Am doing chicken fillets (reduced to 99p in Morrisons the other week) in mushroon sauce tonight with potatoes so can try out my silicone loaf tin for the chicken in sauce.

At least we're starting to use up the 'old' stuff in the freezer now

I ordered one on Monday and the girl was lovely. I explained a friend had ordered a standard one at the old price and she was happy to do that for me. It was out of stock however and will be posted (free) next week sometime. I also ordered a rack and magic liner and offered to wait for them at the same time but she insisted that they will come tomorrow. I also got a free melamime utensil set.

I too spent ages thinking about ordering. The price hike news on Friday re gas/electric made my mind up for me.

Many thanks to everyone for taking the time and effort to post on this.

Oh dear...the price shows as £109.99 on both the summer catalogue link and the new one.
The email I had asked me to order ASAP as the catalogue expired on July 31st.
Don't think I'm up to an argument and I haven't got the paper copy of the catalogue so I could answer any queries.
I might have to cut my losses and just go via Quidco. At least I will get some discount :o

No Janey51! Don't! If you follow the link and then when page 48 loads, click on the magnifying glass with a plus sign and it zooms in so you can see it clearer, if you click on the page it takes you to the new price on the website. I've just done this and it works, try again and let us know how you get on...

I think the "Out of the Kitchen" catalogue is valid until 31 August. I would take a chance and ring up and say you are ordering from that catalogue. Nothing to lose apart from the cost of a phone call.

    Hasn't Lakeland disappeared from quidco?

If you arent up to a phonecall why not drop them an email querying the price difference and they should confirm the lower price until 31st August

:j :T Thanks for that. Got a Remoska ordered no bother at the old price. I decided the Standard would be big enough for me as I am on my own.
Girl I spoke to was very helpful. She asked for the code of the catalogue..not the item code ..but as I didn't know she decided to put it through at the new price and then deducted £10 :T

We`ve just eaten our first remoska meal and it was lovely.

Pork chops on the rack with veg and sliced potatoes with bacon underneath.
It was very tasty but missing something, i think it`s because i expected the veg to be the same as roasted in the oven but they wern`t as there was too much liquid from the chops.

Next time i shall start the chops off first and pour some of the liquid away before putting the veg and potatoes in.
I used onions, spring onions, carrots, mixed sliced peppers and garlic so there was plenty of taste and i didn`t peel the potatoes just sliced them thinly.

The whole meal tok about an hour or just a bit less asi forgot to time it so it cost less than 10p to cook.

Does anyone know if the pan can be put in the dishwasher? I know that it`s easy to clean but don`t want to boil the kettle for the hot water when the dw will be going on later.:D

You won't need cupboard space - mine is used daily so stays out now! :D
