How do you do that? In one of those separators that are on Lakeland site?
Mine hasn't come with anything apart from a little tart tin that I don't think is actually anything to do with the Remoska, I think as it was the same colour, the staff must have thought it was part of it.
Can you stand it on any surface to cook on?
How much does it cost to run... does anyone know?TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -

I just have mine on the worktop as the stand itself doesn't get hot. To begin with I did put it on one of the glass worktop protectors.
It is much cheaper to run than a normal electric oven. I have been reading my electric meter each morning and on the days that I have used my oven for no more than an hour each time as well as using the Moska, my electricity meter readings are higher by about 50%. I must say I am quite shocked but very pleased by the difference0 -
Yes I did the curry in the separator and the rice in the main pan. Either will work but this seems a bit less messy.0

I'm now a member of the Remoska Club, having found one in a charity shop today for £2.00!

.... haven't got a clue what to make with it yet though, so better spend a while reading this thread.
Well done you:T, I do miss being able to have a good day raking round the charity shops:(
I asked and have been gifted one from freecycle, and my dd has collected it, but I can't get it until Thurs or Fri...I just can't wait to get my wee mitts on it. I've got a lovely piece of (free to me) roasting beef ready in the freezer just waiting to go into my new (to me) mosky.:jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -
One Grand Remoska on its way
(had a bit of a stickler  on the phone who was originally having none of the '£99.99 until 31/8/08' line from me but she relented in the end!
). I've ordered the rack as well plus the cookbook but what do Grand owners do for a separator pan? Cooking curry and rice at the same time seems like a great idea! TIA!

Why can't you still? Ignore if I'm being nosey/it's private.
I thought I did well... free is even better! Well done :beer:TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Wow! Congrats to Trying to be good and Oliveoyl for their fantastic finds! How lovely!
I've been really boring and had leftovers today (ratatouille...again!) fried some halloumi and a courgette out of the garden but did it in a pan as the remoska was full of ratatouille and bulgar wheat. Hoping my grand will come tomorrow so I can plan different things in it, I go to bed with my remoska cookbook every night and have a read before sleepytime!

New Home Bargains in Burslem SOT have a new range of silicone loaf and cake tins for £1.99 each (in bright red) so I would imagine some of the others do too if anyone prefers using those to the metal ones in the Remoska.

I was having a bike rack fitted to our campervan and a lovely lady in there told me all about the Remoska she uses all the time in her motorhome, which Id never heard of. Then I found this thread and decided to buy one when we were away for the week in Eastbourne.
We bought the Grande as I thought 'I can make it smaller by using a dish inside but I cant make it bigger when the family calls for tea'.
We used it all week in the camper and everyday since (2 weeks), not once using the gas oven or even the hob.
Still trying things out and guessing timings but a couple of days ago I read (speed read lol) most of the posts on here and realized we could set it on a timer - which we did and it worked perfectly.
then just looking at a post about getting dishes out of it using an oven glove reminded me that last year I bought some oven gauntlets from Lakeland, put them away and forgot about them.
Just found them back out. Must of been a premonition when I bought them on offer ........................

Tonight I made a sort of risotto thing with mushrooms, ham and bits of chicken with rice in my Moska, which I usually do in the microwave. It took about 40 mins instead of the 18 it takes in the MW but it tasted much better - really tasty and moreish. We've noticed that EVERYTHING you cook in it tastes better than it used to - is it magic, or what ? Even OH said how really good it was - and it's always been one of his favourite meals when made in the MW, but this evening he was really raving about how tasty it was. So simple a gadget, but so economical and such nice food.
I feel sad for the people out there who haven't discovered life with a Moska, still, lucky old us !
