Mine has arrived but I am still at the stage of looking at it suspiciously (OH says I am like this with everything new - me? peculiar? :o )

Going to pluck up courage tomorrow and actually use it
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

well I've had my remoska for a few days now and everything I've asked of her she has delivered.Hubby is chuffed to bits with her cos she produces a fab mushroom omelette for his brekkie.Only slight reservation I have is that when I made bolognaise sauce in her it cooked so fast that it was in danger of drying out but I think thats down to me being neglectful and spending too much time on here:o I'll be making chicken stuffed with cream cheese and ham in her later and I expect it to turn out perfect as per normal

By the way I emailed Customer Services about my missing free gift and a lovely lady rang me back a couple of hours later all apologies and I've asked for a melamine utensil set that I can use in my remoska and it should be with me in a few days

  • I would like to say a really big thank you to everyone :beer:who has posted on this thread. I have seen the Remoskas in the Lakeland catalogue yonks ago but couldn't pluck up the courage to justify the expense of yet another kitchen gadget! I saw the thread (took me about a week to read it all) and also a couple of other threads on camping type forums who were also raving about it. Between you all you managed to persuade me to go for the standard rather than the baby ( I live on my own!) and boy am I pleased I did.

I have had Remmy for about two weeks now (must get back to Lakeland as didn't get my free gift!) - week no 1 was whilst on my chap's narrow boat. He wasn't too impressed as it kept blowing the inverter! but I had fun playing with it flapjacks, casseroles, joint of lamb, jacket potatoes. Since I came home I haven't used my oven (or rings) at all - even roasties got par boiled in Remmy first of all! All sorts of concoctions using goodies from the allotment and just put in there - I haven't had a bad meal yet. Her piece de resistance must have been yesterday evening, got back from Bank Holiday travels and foraged in the freezer to find some frozen chilli. Popped the frozen chilli in her and went upstairs to unpack. 45 mins later I was eating a defrosted steaming hot meal. She is wonderful - probably the best piece of kit I have ever bought!:T My next purchase will be a timer plug so that she can come on automatically so I will have a hot meal ready and waiting when I come in from work. (Argos have a pack of two on offer at around £4.50!)

Thank you to everyone - it was reading all your experiences that made me take the plunge. Life will never be the same!!:j :j :j

Well, we made a meatloaf with roast potatoes for tea tonight in the new Remoska. DH raved about it - it was delicious! Can't wait to cook a chicken in it!

    It`s here :j :j :j :j
i got home from work and saw a card in the postbox and was miserable as i thought i`d missed the delivery - that was until i actually read the card:o

The delivery guy had managed to put it over the wall next to the back gate:eek: my first thought was that it would be in pieces but it seems fine.

I`ve mealplanned for the rest of the week so there isn`t much in so unless i find time to bake before the weekend it will sit gleaming on the kitchen worktop so that i can imagine all the delicious food that will get turned out of it:D

I didn`t get asked about a free gift but the box contained the melamine utensils, some foil and a £5 gift voucher so i`m really pleased, the rack is still out of stock so i have to wait for it so i hope it`s not too long.

I`m off to look at some recipes and look at a remoska type of meal planner for the weekend:D

I'm now a member of the Remoska Club, having found one in a charity shop today for £2.00!

.... haven't got a clue what to make with it yet though, so better spend a while reading this thread.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!
  • Just knocked up a very delicious green chicken curry and rice in mine. I love doing the rice and curry in one place.

That is fantastic!!!! I'll be scouring the charity shops now as I use my standard Remoska so often there are times when I could do with two.

Today my trusty Remoska has made, a jacket potato for my lunch, 8 small bread rolls and delicious roasted vegetables for dinner tonight.

    Bella.
