Can anyone comment on the benefits of the rack? I have the other accessories but that was the only one I was unsure about, so have left it for the moment.
Hi, I seem to use the rack everytime I use my 'moska'. I do jacket potatoes/chips/sliced pots in it and when they are nearly done put the rack in and cook the sausages or chicken or whatever we are having on top of the spuds. Works everytime for me! HTH??0 -
Forgot to say try the fan potatoes in the cookbook, raw pots, cut a bit off the bottom to make a flat edge, they dont roll around then , cut into each potato about 5mm apart but not all the way through, pop them in the remoska put 200 ml of milk over them a little butter on each and salt and pepper and bake , the milk cooks away and tops are crispy the results are fab !!

Just a quickie, mine has arrived today - I got some magic liner but do I need to line it everytime I use it or is it just for things that you think might stick? I was thinking of doing some rice in it - do I need to line it first? Am a bit embarrassed about asking - but I can go and hide behind the settee then you can't see me. Thanks.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Re Remoskas Excellent. I live alone and use mine most days.I have the large one as that was only available at the time.. It makes good soups just bang everything in and leave Chick. casserole and sweet and sour. Even do oven chips with fish or sausage. Chops with stuffing.
Best of all super scones and sponges at very little cost. Just read the cookbook and amend to suit yourself. Good eating.0 -
Well had my first play today and so far so good. Made the cheese stuffed baked potatoes from the Remoska cook book for lunch when the kids came back from school (first day back today and off due to a strike tomorrow). Tonight did a roast stuffed chicken and as per a tip I picked up earlier on the thread - sorry I can't remember the poster - I roasted it on its breast to start with then turned it over towards the end of cooking - it was lovely - crisp skin and moist flesh - also put some shallots round it and they came out all soft and succulent. Will have a look through the recipe book and the leaflet that came with it and see what's on the menu for tomorrow. I had some magic liner left from when I had cut some to fit my baking tins and I just put it in the base and the excess came up the sides - reluctant to cut it to fit as not quite decided what I am going to use it for yet. I know its only the first day but I don't think that I will use the liner when cooking everything as the dish is non stick and provided I'm not using tins or anything sharp in it then it should be okay.

Always Happy- I don't always use a liner,it depends what I'm cooking. If its a casserole type dish then I don't tend to,just put it straight in.I've done some bread rolls today with dough made in my breadmaker and again just put them on the base of the pan,but if I use a cake tin or seperate dish then I would put the liner in to avoid scratching the pan.
Had mine a couple of months now and I love it- hardly use the oven now- in fact I get quite peeved if I've got to switch it on when there is something already in.I didn't get my rolls in as early as I wanted to,so had to cook our tea in the oven.Should have organised myself better!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Made a quorn chilli in mine for tea, was going to use the slow cooker-I would have done pre Remoska, but did not decided to make it till after lunch!
It was yum, kids did not like it, so it was nan bread and pasta for them!
Much easier to clean than slow cooker!
We had it with pasta, can you cook pasta in the remoska?
I like to make 1 pot meals, had to put the gas on to do the pasta!!
Still not sure about the shallow pan, seems alot to spend, just to save elec. Worked out I used £7.30 in elec last week, so will have to save me alot of elec to pay for itsself.0
