I bought a Remoska off Ebay, waited for ages and finally won one, it was brand new in box, I use it quite a lot, and we take it away in our caravan. I make cakes, it makes great jacket potatoes, delicious rice pudding. Roast potatoes are really crispy. I am so glad I have got one, and was really pleased to get it as a bargain from Ebay.0

Well,so much for a moneysaving site!- I've now HAD to go and order a remoska (yikes). I've covetted one for absolutely ages and decided at last to take the plunge - hope I use it! I've ordered the rack as well and was tempted (whilst I'm getting free postage) to add a shallow dish as I quite liked the idea of having my pudding cooking whilst eating my mains - or should I just wash the original dish out - can someone either talk me into/outof this idea before I post the envelope? Thanks.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Hi AlwaysHappy
I'm not going to talk you out of itas mine has been used every day since I got it a couple of weeks ago. I think the rack's a really good idea - going to get one as well, but I'm not sure about the shallow dish as I haven't felt the need for it yet. The deep dish is very easily cleaned, so you could give it a quick swish and then put a smaller dish with your pudding into it.
If you didn't get the shallow dish, you could congratulate yourself on saving at least some money!:T

I use the shallow dish and the deep dish in almost equal measure eg a crumble or p0ached fruit in the shallow dish and left to cool while I do a casserole in the deep dish. I haven`t used my rack yet0

:rotfl: I like your thinking.
I was going to order my Remoska last week then the dog decided to get an infected foot and need an op so he had the money. But he is worth it.
Hopefully I'll get mine before the end of the month.
I'm really enjoying reading your tips and comments.0 -

I didn't buy the shallow dish, which I regretted later, but luckily found a little non stick pie-dish in my late MIL's collection that just fits the top!"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
I'm sure last time I was in Home Bargains they had silicone cake and sandwich dishes. I will have a look next time I am in and might get some. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Hi Charlies Mum,
I have just come from Home Bargains and they do have the silicone sandwich tins and bun trays. I have just bought 2 of the sandwich tins for £1.99 each.
They are a very snug fit in the bottom of the Remoska and might be a bit tricky to lift out.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Me again :hello:
I got my dad a Remoska last week as he was impressed with mine. He has just rung me to say that he tried to make a Yorkshire pud using the quantities in the booklet which comes with the Remoska.
Said it turned out more like scrambled egg
Those of you who do get sucessful Yorkies ... do you use the quantities from the Remoska booklet?
I want them to be pleased with it as I recommended it.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -

I actually thought of buying a sandwich tray and cutting the rim off and using it as a liner to stop anything scratching the base. I currently cut a piece of baking paper and stand things on top of that, but thought the silicone might be betterYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
