Remoska cookers (merged)

Having initially been very impressed with my Remoska Grande, I realised it seemed to have lost some of its heat and I gradually used it less and less. I'd already had one replacement due to the teflon scraping off so decided to take it all back to the lakeland store.
Their fantastic customer service was excellent and they took back everything in exchange for a credit note and I then bought a Kuhn Rikon Pressure Cooker, which I have to say I use much more than I ever did the Remoska.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Thanks
Yes! They state repeatedly that their guarantee is a lifetime one and I'm sure their prices allow for it.
The coating on the lid of my first one started coming off, they swapped it immediately for a new one. After a couple of years that one kept tripping the electrics, I phoned and it was no problem at all, so I got a third new one - still going
Just phone them, honest:)0 -

I'm so glad you phoned:)
It would be silly if they made all those promises and no-one took them up on it, they do obviously mean it.
There's no way I'd try it on but after all the Remoska is a big outlay and much of their sales point is that it lasts and lasts.0 -

I have a standard one which is fine for 2 of us but last year I was in a Lakeland shop and there on the 'Sale' shelf was a big one - reduced because the box was bashed. I bought it (of course) and it's in the cupboard waiting for my Standard one to expire (because there are a few stories out there of the lids going funny and not working) but so far I haven't needed it. Beware when making yorkies or Toad in the hole because the batter rises and rises and rises - marvellous !
Lakeland will replace the 'expired' one re the lifetime guarantee - it doesn't matter how long you have had it so no need to buy the Grand - just buy the bigger dish which fits into your original stand.
My remoska started tripping the electrics and Lakeland replaced the whole thing - bowl -stand and lid - no questions asked.0 -

What a bargain you got .
Go on Lakeland web page and see if the dimensions for the Remoska are listed so you can see what one you have.0 -
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting one of these and putting it on a timer, so my meals are cooked when I get in from work. Do you think this would work?Sometimes you're the dog, but more often you're the tree!:D0 -

I've done this a few times and it worked fineYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
My moska is the one thing I would rescue if the house was on fire (apart from the kids, dogs, cats etc:o).
I have also had teflon problems, but Lakeland replaced it immediately without any question. Brilliant company - can't fault them:j
