Call Lakeland and they will give you a new cooker.I did this last week for the same problem of the Tefal coating coming off. They will send you a box so you then send your Remoska back to them which will take 5 days just to get the box, then you post your broken one back to them. They check it and post you back a new one.Another option was take it back to any Lakeland shop and exchange it for a new one straight away, which is what i did as i used mine every day. When i called Lakeland i got a really nice guy called Paul who told me the above

Would not having your receipt hinder taking it back.
I've lost my receipt I'm afraid but since Lakeland (I think) are the only ones who sell the Remoska will they refuse me an exchange without the receipt I wonder.
I'm usually very careful with receipts too.

No need for a receipt. :)

If you bought it online then you can simply ring thir CS and they will check your order history and then send out a new one immediately and let you return the old one with the courier who delivers the new parcel. If you didn't order online then they will have no record of your purchase so they will send a box for your return item first and then despatch the new one on receipt.

Alternatively if you just package it up and return instore then they will do an exchange on the spot.

I was told on the phone by the Lakeland guy that they would send a box and i pack the Remoska up,they then look at it and then send me a new Remoska.I didnt have a receipt .
In the end he told me to take it into any Lakeland shop and exchange it as at the time i was using it every day and would have been lost with out it.

Give them a call as the guy that helped me on the phone was really nice.
I dont use mine much now as i have a Halogen oven.
Oh he said every thing Lakeland sells is guaranteed for life so if anything else goes wrong with it you just get another replacement.

What the shop needs is "Proof of Purchase".

So this does not have to be a receipt. As has been said, if you bought on line their Customer Service should be able to help. If you bought in a shop - then a bank or credit card statement should suffice.

    HTH :)

Not at Lakeland though (I know because I had one exchange, before I finally had to give up and give mine back for a refund - with no receipt either time) - the Remoska is a Lakeland exclusive and the Lakeland guarantee is "probably the simplest guarantee in the world" - no need to quote the SOGA in their stores..... they are almost embarassingly easy to deal with. If anything went too wrong, I imagine Wendy Miranda would turn up on your doorstep to deliver your replacement Remoska in person :Dhttp://www.lakeland.co.uk/info/LakelandGuarantee

Just a shame that the Remoska isn't as reliable as the company that sells it... I miss mine terribly, but don't miss the sound of my fuse box blowing.....

Nope you dont need a receipt to take it back as i didnt have a receipt .I think your better to call Lakeland like i did and they will check in your nearest store if they have one in stock, then just go and exchange it.

    Hoping someone can help:

When i bake a cake in my remoska (standard), the underside of the cake is sometimes not cooked thoroughly..especially towards the middle.
I've been using a separate sandwich tin to bake my cakes, placed on a small trivet (pinched from pressure cooker!), to try and ensure heat reaches the bottom a bit better, but am still failing very often.

Can any one give me some tips on how to rectify? THANKS!

Gosh..I'm STILL having problems with my cakes not cooking all the way through.

I put my cake mixture into a metal sandwich tin. They cook lovely on top, but the middle of the base of the cake is never cooked by the time the 'top' is ready!! What am i doing wrong?? Very frustrating!!

I have tried putting my sandwich tin directly inside my remoska deep pan and have also tried standing it on a small 0.5 cm high metal trivet.

    ANY tips PLEASEEEEE.

    THANKS

    Hi

I haven't tried it but I have been told that you can cut a circle of tinfoil and pop that on the top to stop the top from overbrowning while the bottom cooks ( I've only just got my Remoska but I work for lakeland and thats what the resident expert suggested )
    Hope this helps

And me i have done the same thing and my cakes are no way cooked at the bottom. I used to take the cake out when it looks cooked and then turn it upside down and put it back in again to cook the bottom part of the cake.Dont bother cooking cakes with it now.

Oh no!!! Well..i'll give the Remoska just a couple of extra 'chances' to cook my cakes ok, before I give up! (will the the full foil cover too).
It's such a shame, as it cooks everything else so well!
