3 cheers for Lakeland! I contacted them about my tripping electrics and they are very kindly replacing my Mosky and collecting the old one FOC. I must say, their customer service is absolutely amazing :TOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

SOOOO pleased with my Remoska all over again - made a rice pudding, which I haven't done for years as OH hates it and it always seemed wasteful to put the oven on just for me. I have a Pyrex bowl which sits nicely in my standard Moska, and I did a pint of milk and an appropriate amount of rice, sugar, a bit of nutmeg and a small knob of butter - and there it was, all creamy and delicious....I shall be doing that again and again !0

Oooh! I havn;t made rice pudding in AGES. :jand I used to put it in my big oven. how much rice (ish!) and sugar did you pop in your Moska? will def have to try this! How long did you leave it on too? Thanks:D0 -
Rice pudding: The little blue book which came with the remoska has a recipe in which you put water on the rice, and faff about with it before you put it in the remoska, but I didn't bother . I just got my little Pyrex dish and added a pint of full cream milk (I got it for my granddaughter and she didn't drink it, but I'd usually have had semi-skim, or you could usea little tin of evaporated and make it up to a pint, or add a splosh of cream - depending on how rich and fattening you wanted it to be - can perfectly well do it with skim milk and feel virtuous !) then I added a walnut sized bit of butter, a few scratchings of nutmeg, 2oz (50g) pudding rice and 1oz (25g) sugar, stirred it all up and switched on. At some point I put a bit of silver foil over the top but I wouldn't bother again as I like the skin anyway. I stirred it now and then, and it took about 40 mins . A blob of red jam necessary for serving - I think ! YUM.0

Another remoska triumph:
we had a nice joint of pork yesterday and I scored it finely, rubbed salt on, gave it a hot blast to start with, but still the crackling wouldn't crackle. So today I took off the rind, stuffed it in the Remoska all by itself and went away for about 20 mins. When I came back the kitchen was full of tasty pork smells, and the Remoska contained a curly, crispy light, puffy and completely delicious piece of crackling, which we are eating as crisps. Best I have ever done ! :j0 -
OK, so I have taken the plunge - at long last - and ordered a Grand Remoska along with the rack.
Is it possible to have food cooking on the pan as well as food cooking on the rack? Has anyone tried it?
Thanks0 -
Hi Lbt
Sorry i have no experience with them myself. As this has dropped off the front page, I have merged this with the main remoska thread, to see if we can get you an answer
Don't forget you can also check the main remoska website which Penny links to in the first post of this thread
Thanks:)

Yes, I've tried it, I find that whatever is below the rack, takes longer to cook or swap them round half way if I can, if not then take off what's on the top and leave the other in to finish it off.0

Yes, perfectly possible. The whole pan gets very hot, so food cooks from underneath as well as from the element in the lid.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
