Remoska cookers (merged)

The remoska is completely different than a slowcooker as its like a mini oven so therefore you can bake, roast, simmer etc in it. The only thing you can't really do is boil...but then you wouldn't boil water in a cooker.
If you have a lakeland near to you maybe it'd be worth you going in and seeing a remoska in the flesh so to speak, the staff can explain its uses to you and then you can make an informed decision.
I confess I haven't used mine for a while but it was invaluable when I didn't have a cooker a few months back.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

They come up on ebay from time to time, you might get lucky and find one on there.0 -

I also love my baby Moska .... probably for the same reason 1 meat eater and 1 veggie so I have a standard and the baby. Wonderful for quick lunches for 1 as well. So sorry that Lakeland have stopped doing this size.
I have never tried cakes in my baby Moska but have done in my standard. Did a lovely victoria sponge. I just did one and cut it in half to give me a half cake.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Nice little 'recipe'
Halve some apricots (even if they taste like cotton wool when raw this will make them very yum) put them cut side up in Moska, scatter a bit of brown sugar on, and add a splosh of wine - I had a bit of pink left but white would be fine, not sure about red) and cook for about 20 mins or until they have just collapsed. (If you do them longer they'll look awful but taste yum anyway). the juice should have gone a but syrupy. Serve on top of yoghurt.....:)0 -
:A I have 2 Remoskas now and wouldn't be without them. I am now looking at the Morphy Richards Vorticity vacuum cleaner at Lakelands for £219.99 and as I am new to forums I am interested in feedback from independant users and hope someone on here can help as this forum is a mine of information. I don't know where else tolook.0

I made a Rosemary Conley low fat cake the other day in mine. Whisk 2 eggs and 30z of sugar together until 'foamy' fold in 3 oz sr flour and 1/2 tspn baking powder. You now have a base for a cake so feel free to add other flavours. I added grated lemon peel and covered it with flaked aalmonds and it was lovely. Very Mse too as harddly any ingredients!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
