  • Ok! I geddit now. I was thinking it just meant the sides were shallower and it just sat on the bottem of the ramoska. I was thinking.. whats the point of that!! Durrrrrrrrrrrr:rotfl: what a div.:o

So, I assume it sits at the top and theres a space for cooking below it?

So what about the rack? useful? I have one in my slow cooker and have never used it. Actually it might well fit in the ramoska.

No you were right, the sides are shallower and its sits in the pan rest just like the deep pan, no room below it. It looks exactly same as deep pan, just more shallow. Because its not as deep the food is closer to the lid.

If you get the rack and put it inside the deep pan it will raise the food that you want to cook. Worth trying your slow cooker rack.

I'm glad you're getting another PP but judging by my own experience and what others have said I suspect that the clue to what happened is in your first sentence.... dinner was a little watery.... That's when mine tripped the switch after I'd ooked a watery dish for a long time and condensation got between the viewing plates.

Still haven't secided whether to send mine back though... :o

    Hey Hun!

Lakeland were fabulous and it honestly took 3 minutes and I explained that I dont have a receipt as I ordered over phone and couldnt find the slip. She said not to worry and that they have everything on file and under name & postcode.

They are sending another out today and I will receive Monday then I need to try that one and call them again then they will send a courier to pick up the next day.

    PP

  • Does anyone have the baby remoska? I only ask, because I got the new catalogue in yesterday, and they don't seem to have the baby one anymore. I had thought it would be ideal for dd living on her own.

Oh yes, gone from the website too. Mind you, even for one person I'd still recommend at least the standard as the bigger it is the greater variety of food you can cook in it, inc pizza etc

Just thought I'd pass this on - you probably all know already...

I just spotted Lakeland on the Nectar e-shopping site, offering 2 points per £1 spent, in case anyone's planning to take the plunge.

I didn't think Lakeland was ony of these sites (wish it was on Rpoints!) but it seems I was wrong again.

When I bought my Remoska at the end of January, they had the baby ones on the clearance section, so they may well have discontinued them.

Bum, for no reason and with no warning my Remoska stopped working today midway through a curry creation.

However, a quick phone call to the luuurrrvveerrrrly Lakeland, a replacement is winging its way over to me tomorrow. Their customer service is brilliant, best I've ever had, no quibbles, no excuses, no stupid questions and a million forms to fill in and no inconvenience to me.

    I love you Lakeland.:happylove

I see Lakeland are organising Remoska demonstrations again. Maybe we should all meet! Turn up, wear a red carnation and a badge with our 'handle' on it!

Any idea where the demonstrations are being held or how I can find out?

I've been told to add my recipes, well I just make them up to be honest! But heres what I had last night and it was really yummy!

Some water, just poured it to cover the bottom to help the potatoes cook
    Bit of salt
unpeeled potatoes cubed quite small, so it cooked quicker, about 10p size?
Onions roughly chopped, cos they break down when cooked
    packet of bacon bits
2 peppers (only chucked them in, cos they had seen better days)
Some left over sweetcorn (agian, only chucked in as taking up valuable fridge space)
slightly over done the garlic powder, but I love garlic!
Left it all to cook uncovered for about 45 mins, gave a stir half way through and hey presto, tea was ready!
