just made a lovely chicken biryani in my remoska today..
just chucked in some chooped cooked chicken, chopped onion x 1, tin of chopped tomatoes and about 2 tablespoons curry powder and salt and pepper and 1/4 pint of water.
stirred it through and left to cook until all water absorbed and rice cooked.
absolutely yum.....0 -

Is there anyone out there who can help me solve a problem. I have the Remoska grand & I love it but Lakeland don't make a pan separator for the grand. I would love to be able to put in two pans side by side so that you can cook two separate dishes at the same time. I have asked and requested Lakeland for three years now if they can get someone to produce them but to no avail. It seems daft that they make it for the middle size Remoska and not the grand. I spent two hours last night searching the internet for something that would surffice but I just can not find anything.
Does anyone else have this problem and have they managed to solve it?0 -

I use the silver foil containers (that you can get takeaway in) and thats works quite well.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

BTW I was in Lakeland in Bicester yesterday and saw the baby ones still there, can't remember who was asking if they'd stopped doing them, but they don't seem to have as they had plenty on the display.0

It seems really odd that they don't make them for the grand, I'm sure they would sell well.0 -
Anyone cooked anything new in their Remoska recently? It's very quiet here......0

I was thinking it was awfully quiet too ! I did a stuffed butternut squash last night. Halved a squash, scooped out the seeds and made a bit more of a hole up the 'pointy' end, and stuffed it with a v small amount left-over cooked chicken, 2 elderly slices ham, some breadcrumbs all whizzed together in the processor with s&p, some fresh thyme a splosh of Worcester sauce. baked in deep pan for about 30 mins with a bit of foil on top, then took it off and put a bit of grated cheese on top for about another 30 mins. It was OK but a bit less tasty than i'd hoped, perhhaps would have been better with goat's cheese (which I've done before more successfully) but I was using up bits, so felt quite smug anyway !
(And he idn't complain at all !)0 -

The flavour of butternut squash is significantly enhanced by grated nutmeg - try it, it's delish!0 -

Haven't done anything new recently but still using it almost daily. Yesterday I did a chicken and leek mix, along with some other veg that needed using up, mixed with white sauce and topped with cheesy mash. Delicious.
Tonight was re-heating a HM frozen roast dinner.0
