I know - I can't believe how much I use mine either!:j:j
This morning I did grilled bacon and poached eggs for my breakfast, last night I used it to reheat a frozen SW curry that I had made last week for lunch I am doing fake duck to have in wraps (turkey leg cooked in pressure cooker, then into remoska with dollop of hoi sin sauce then shredded - tastes just like duck;)) and tonight it will be a pork casserole - a large one so i can freeze a few portions:T:j!
I don't understand the reasons for it but the Remoska has really stimulated my desire to cook! No more ready meals in this house - unless I make them myself of course!

I am cooking the cauliflower cheese pie out of the moosewood cookbook. You make a crust out of grated potato, grated onion and egg white, mould it into the pan and cook. Make up some cauliflower cheese and put it on the top and cook it, I am going to put some mozzarella on too for extra cheesiness! I thought it would be nice with baked beans.
Hey! We got voted as the top thread on this weeks newsletter!
Mmm - I wonder if I could make a slimming world pizza with the grated potato as a base then topping with passata and veg?
I feel an experiment coming on!:T

I've also found I'm more happy to experiment a bit with the Remoska than I was with the oven. Don't know why. But I'm much more likely to just bung a few things in and see how it cooks. So far everything has come out wonderfully - we hardly ever use our oven anymore.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Thanks!
Not sure what you mean - does the actual lid with the heating element inside make a rattling noise when you move it or do you mean it sits loosly on the pan and they rattle together?
If its the first one - no thats defo not normal, if the second one you are fine cause mine both do that!

MoneyPanicker – I have also only had my Grand Remoska for a few weeks and can agree that that it’s very impressive, I managed to grab to last one on the shelf at Lakeland in Windsor!!!.
I find that when I have just been using the Remoska and while it’s still hot, I can also hear / feel some sort of rattling. The way that I would describe it would be a large circle of rings and when it’s hot, the rings seem to shrink and rattle and then expand again when it’s cooled down????.
Apart from this (very little) rattle, it’s great.

HAve a look on the grand remoska page of the website. There is a review from someone who had 3 grand pans in a row and gave up in the end because of breakdown of the element that led to rattling....
If I were to get one I'd want a grand so I am waiting on a few more positve reviews before splashing out0 -
It's the lid that rattles whether hot or cold!! So is this not what it is supposed to do? It seems as though there is something loose inside!! Having said that just cooked a chicken in it which was yum and the kitchen isn't smoked out like it usually is with the oven.0

I also had a problem with a rattle in the lid of my new Grand Remoska. Luckily I also have a Standard (which is fine) so I knew the rattle was not right. Took it back to Lakeland and they exchanged it - no problem.0
