Just to let everyone know that I did manage to cook everything I needed, don't have a lot of choice really, my oven door doesn't shut, so I cook in the remoska most days. If anyone has any questions ask away & I'll do my best to answer.

    Hi Hun!

I have seen the Remoskas in the Lakeland catalogues they [STRIKE]tempt[/STRIKE] send me every few weeks. Are they easy to use? Can you put more than 1 item in...so I could I cook meat and spuds? How big is it? Is it cheaper on electric?

Sorry but very interested. I have £35 in vouchers which I have had for a few months.

    Thanks

    PP

Thanks Granny Broon for your kind thoughts.

I am not as teary as I thought I would be. She suffered for so long not being able to do the things that she used to and knew that this was what she would have to cope with for the foreseeable future, that the relief outweighs the sadness in some ways.

Brought a lot of her stuff back with us to sort through for all the things that are to come, so have been sorting that out today. Hopefully will hear from the coroner tomorrow and I can get the Death Certificate and start making arrangements for the funeral and dealing with closing bank accounts, utility etc etc.

Hope to speak to you all tomorrow. Bye

    Evening all,

Have had quite a productive day......house cleaned, washing done and dried, spare room ready for guest on Thursday night, and chicken casserole with rosé duly made (it did work!!) and eaten.

No word from OH - not really surprised. Have been looking at alternative holidays......just in case, although i think realistically it will be the alternative.

Now trying to psych myself up for the last week of term - just hope I can stay awake through it!

    Have a good week everyone,

    PO xx

    Hi PP
I have a grand remoska, which is the big one, it takes up about the same space as a BM. I put different dishes in with different things in, or I put in jacket potatoes on the main part & chops or sausages in a separate bowl. Today I cooked the brownies first, then the peppers with anchovies, then the jerk chicken, I warmed the peppers through in the microwave just before serving. I think it must work out cheaper than an electric cooker, as you are heating up such a small space, but not sure about gas. They are simple to use though the lid is very heavy as it has the element in, I have very weak wrists, so maybe it's not that heavy, lol.
    Hope this helps.
    Hester
