This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
I think we are in for a sunny day. I can actually see a shiny orange thing in the sky for the first time in weeks. I hope it stays that way, although I doubt it will. It was cold yesterday, I saw people with coats on!
Work was busy as usual and I hate working weekends, apart from anything else, most depts are off, so you can't get much routine work done as there is no one in any office to a progress specific things.
Church this morning, then work this afternoon.
Not much in the way of anything else happening.
Have a nice lazy day everyone

Good Morning N9eav, Tattycath and everyone to follow.
Lovely weather here at the moment and hopefully it will stay as DD has a garden party this afternoon. About 8 of her friends are coming plus family.
Have decided just to do a small tea so will be making sandwiches, sausage rolls etc for most of the day. We have a karaoke machine so wont be popular with the neighbours.
Did OK yesterday, no paperwork done but washing and ironing up straight so very pleasing.
Not sure whats for dinner, will probably overdose on egg sandwiches.
Have a great day, (((hugs))) to those who need one.

Morning all
OMG! A clear blue sky!!!!!!! It can't last..........can it?
Anyway, morning to N9eav, tattycath, essex-girl and all who follow.
I plan to get some more gardening done today if this weather continues, and the study is now clean so I might at least take the bits of the new shelf unit up and start trying to work out how to put it together.
After cautious optomistic thoughts yesterday about OH we're in doom and despair again - I knew I'd spoken too soon. Anyway, he won't talk to me again so who knows. Am remaining positive about my life and getting on with things so I don't think about him........but the holiday looks in doubt again. If I don't go there, I will look for a cheap(ish) last minute get away (if there are any left after this weather!!) somewhere with a beach, palm trees and cocktails. Or I'll stay at home and spend the money on doing stuff I haven't been able to do in the house.
So - cup of tea o'clock then my Sunday will begin.
Huggles to all, but especially Chrisca.

Morning all
Lovely day here in Staffordshire, so off to the car boot sale to bag a bargain. The only problem is I come back with bags and bags of books, and I already have piles of them waiting to be read
Might nip to the allotment later to check on everything, the slugs ate all my lettuces, but the potatoes and onions are looking good. I might nip to Asda to get some of their £1 strawberries and make some jam. I bought some tiny kilner jars at the auction, so have to make something to fill them
Hope everyones weather is a good as this, hugs to Chrisca, Candy, Pen Pen and anyone else who needs one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning Guys!
Sun shining here too...whats going on
I have put the chicken in the oven already and will probably have with some boiled spuds later and not do a full roast. I have some new pots and fresh veg, so that should suffice.
OH is still quite ill and think its going to his chest as he has a weakness there. He has been taking his steroid pump as well as the ventolin but he may have to go to the GPs tomorrow if still not right. Im not sure how I will get to the hospital later.
WM is on and DD will hang out for me, toilet cleaned and DW needs emptying.
Might have a BBQ later...well just a burger in a bun if the weather stays nice.
Hugs to all.

Good morning everyone
It's sunny here too! Yayyy! :j So, DS and DD's bedclothes are now in the WM. Will change my bed too when that load is done.
Had a great night's sleep so feeling better today. mrs mix I think my dream about you has rubbed off on me as I woke up making a list of my very own! I need to phone the lady from whom we are renting the cottage next week just to check a few details so that I know what to take with me and what I can leave at home.
I cleared out the "presents corner" of my room yesterday and I now have most of my nieces and nephews birthday and Christmas presents sorted and a couple of presents for other people too. :j Aren't sales fabulous.
I had another nice surprise yesterday. I have been saving £1 and £2 coins in an empty white spirit bottle. I decided to count it yesterday and I have £143 saved. This is enough to pay for my share of the guitar that DS wants for his birthday. :j So that's his birthday taken care of.
I've been soaking raisins in cold tea overnight so today I'm going to make the Ginger and Marmalade cake that I found on the Mega Index. Have defrosted some chicken too so will make a curry I think.
Good luck to those OSers who are car-booting today. Hope you snag some bargains.
((((hugs))) to those who are poorly, having family troubles or worries of any kind.
Catowen just seen your post from yesterday. We are going to Islay. It's one of the Hebrides. I'm soooo looking forward to it.
Rzl Glad you had a great time in Paris - though I would think it would be hard not to enjoy yourself there.A belated Happy Birthday to you.
Have a sunny Sunday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning :hello:
Thanks for all the birthday wishesI had a great time in Paris. On Thursday we went to Montmartre then shopping in Galeries Lafayette (didn't spend anything but my friend got a very cute 1920s-style hat) and out for dinner. On Friday (my birthday) we took the RER out to Versailles, went round the palace in the morning then out for a very non-MSE lunch and round some of the gardens, before going out to the opera in the evening which was fab. The hotel we were staying at was right across the road from the opera, and was VERY good value for such a good location. Anyhow, we got the train back yesterday morning after a fab couple of days.
Today I am glad the sun is out, as it's our church picnic. Last year we got caught in a massive downpour in Regent's Park! Today unfortunately I can only stay a little while as I am singing in a concert this evening and have a rehearsal for it this afternoon.
((((Hugs)))) to Chrisca.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape
