rainmac - yesterday was just about one of the worst days I've had for anything and everything............OH was going to bake some bread and daren't in case that went wrong........he even hestitated about cooking fish and chips in case the batter went all weird.............now I no there was an eclipse of the sun...........but its usually the moon that affects things I thought.
Well, today is another day and so far it was going ok till I tried to do a sort of gift card to pop in with sons pressie............ran out of pritt stick, found some liquid glue, piccy has now gone all crinkly and rips if I try to smooth it out.................bum !! (pardon language!)
But I'm not letting it get to me, oh no............................:j

Good for you, the best thing to do is leave it, walk away and go back when you feel like it and see what you can do. We've had a really odd week this last week, good things and not so good things happening has made it very up and down. Glad a new week starts tomorrow :D

Yes........new week and hoping this week everything goes as it should..........so far today it has.
Had to wizz down the card shop to get some card for sons birthday cards -bought more than I needed and saw some 'must have' paper just right for covering my empty twix tube................lol
Made mistake of asking OH's advice on sons cards and he picked different image to the one I''d selected -having asked him for his opinion feel I have to go with it. Did one on behalf of Mum as well...........finished hers and think it looks ok...........got to finish off mine, had to put it away and come back to it later as theres something I'm not sure where to put.
    So far, so good....................:j

  • Well I've seen one of the doorhangers today in the flesh (time for tea one) and it truly is absolutely gorgeous - the photo really doesn't do it justice.

I just wish I could manage to cut so carefully! <<clumsy slap-dash emoticon>>

Right could someone point me in the direction of an idiot's guide to posting pics and I'll have a go at uploading my cards!

I am in an excited mood, my sister in law has just come and stolen the children to take them to the park, the OH is working late and I am armed with extra strong pritt stick, wooden door hangars and some 12x12 scrapbook paper ... will post results later on :)

Woohoo I did it! Have just done one but about to do one for my daughter ... pritt stick worked fantastically well ... here are a couple of pics :) Will post pics of the other one once I have done it. They are nothing like Rainmacs as they are my childrens favourite characters and I doubt I could ever make anything so beautiful like Rainmac.

rusty - brilliant ! Can't wait for mine to come now..........how long did yours take ? And did you stick the paper to the wood with pritt stick or just the embellishments ?
Sorry to bombard you with questions...............lol

Hi Mary, thanks ... that one took me just over 20 mins to make just put (power pritt which is for crafty stuff although I would say the same as normal pritt) pritt stick on the wood then stuck it on the paper, although I am not 100% happy with it but it will do! ... best thing to do is do one side then put a heavy book on top and leave for a bit before cutting then go back cut it out then glue other side and put book on before cutting. just lets the glue dry a bit and helps it stick. The embellishments are actually kids stickers :) so didn't need to use the glue on them as they were already sticky :)

Just finished my second one ... this is for my 14 month old daughter who is way to young to appreciate it but I will :)
