I've ordered some door plaques from the door hanger ebay seller to have a go making name plates for my boys' bedroom doors and also some lovely hearts. I am going to paint the hearts with blackboard paint (ordered earlier from Wickes along with some of those tool caddies for sweeties with a £10 off coupon found on here - real bargain!) and attach a ribbon so they can hang. That's the idea anyway, what happens in practice is anyone's guess :p

Mary, I'm with you, the day's events often get in the way of what I really want to do ;)

I'm contemplating door plaques too rainmac... I showed my aunt the door hanger I've done for my neice and she wants one for my cousins now! Got to try and think what I can put on it... SOmething star wars / dr who / thomas the tank / power ranger... etc... lol
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

My door plaques arrived today (really reasonable price from the door hanger lady on ebay) along with some hearts that I'm going to paint with blackboard paint and hang with ribbon. Not sure when I'm going to be able to have a go with either as have lots of cleaning to do today :-(

Like the idea of door plaques...........I've got some odd bits of mdf that would do if I painted them.
Well, today I've started another couple of door hangers...........pasted the paper on them and now waiting for it to dry...................fingers crossed:j

I understand that! Got a huge pile of stuff for listing under the stairs though and I'm just sick of looking at it!

OH keeps listing things too.. Which is fine,.. But then he leaves everything else up to me... Apparently my writing is better for the envelopes... Quite why that stops him putting the things in the envelopes for me I'll never know!

oh eck !!! Think I went a teeny bit wrong................!!! Well, one turned out ok when I cut round the hole in the middle but the other one was a bit thinner paper (my stupid mistake !)and its torn a little bit.........maybe can cover it with ribbon or something but don't fancy papering the other side.
Would it look too odd it one side was painted ?

(Not been my day.......youngest boy refused to go on youth clud trip and been winding up the oldest one all day, especially cos he had his girlfriend round............much noise and slamming of doors and now youngest one has gone out - relief !!!)

If you pick a colour similar to the paper then will probly look fine.

What does everyone do about the edges if you're papering?
