In that case your best option for back support would be pocket sprung only (as you don't want pocket sprung with memory foam). However be careful because there are some very low quality pocket sprung mattresses on the market.

Unfortunately I can't post any links on here because it would be seen as advertising.

Thanks again Tim. Will go for pocket sprung. Could you recommend any brands?

    Tim's favourite brand is Silentnight.

I would not recommend silent night they dont last long. I had a cheap one from Argos that lasted a LOT longer. In 3 years weve had 5 silent night mattresses, after only 6 mths max each one of them started sagging and creaking and according to silentnight this is a sign you need a new mattress!

And no it doesnt get a lot of use ;)
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

My favourite are Sealy mattresses. They tend to be a little pricey but I have never had a better nights sleep than when I'm on one of those!! If only I could get one for my workplace.... :-)

I thoroughly recommend Sealy too - I bought one 6 months ago and it is FANTASTIC. As someone who suffers from low back pain, and as someone whose other half is about 7 stone heavier, there's no rolling together or waking up when he turns over - unlike most of the other mattresses we tried in a variety of shops. Go to an independent store, they are always open to offers and bartering, you should never have to pay full retail price for a mattress.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but Sealy are now part of the same company as Silentnight:confused:
