    I have Been with this dreadful company NTL since 22 June 2005 and made over 30 phone calls complaining due to the fact they firstly installed the equipment and then did'nt did'nt switch the Phone TV or the Internet on ,the excuse was that no one had actually installed the equipment at my address untill they realised that thay had connected another address of which still did'nt satisfy NTL as they have since cut me off six times and today I have full service apart from the interactive TV.

    NTL have warned me that I am not allowed to use there equipment to buy or sell on Ebay. I have requested compensation I am now being charged £20.00 per month for TV + Family channel, Phone and super speed internet 11MB for the next 6 months.

    I have involved BBC watchdog and compiling a complaint for OFCOM. I feel sorry for those customers in London having to wait 43 seconds between channel changes and also those in Portsmouth having to put up with constant service failiure.

    Please forgive my ignorance as I did search for a more appropiate thread to place this but the search did'nt flag up a NTL complaints thread. :mad:

    Please can someone tell me how i can check what speed I am? I was expecting to be upgraded automatically but I don't think I was.

    Thanks Kev, I did it but it doesn't give you time to read it, I guess I need to complete the recording page. What connection am I if my ntl bill says 300K?

    Sorry but these numbers and letters mean absolutely nothing to me.

    Well I tried again, don't worry Kev, thanks anyway but I don't understand any of it. Your better off helping someone with a brain! I'll think I'll just phone ntl and ask them if I was upgraded or not.

    You are connected at 300k which NTL do. I believe this is an uncapped/unlimited tariff. I think you can upgrade to a higher speed but then NTL place restrictions on how much you can download a month, etc. NTL's new speed (higher than yours) is ideal for those that only view websites and download your email but for those that download as well then you are better off staying on that speed or moving to a different bb supplier (if poss).

    Yes, you do need to complete the recording page but this can be done easily and anonymously by just simply:-

    1. UNTICKING, "Allow my ISP to view my test results to help improve service", (below the 'Rate your ISP' section)

    2. Clicking on the command button, "I live in the UK and my ISP is specified above."

    You should then get your speed.

    really sorry to hear that COS. In my experience, thay have been very helpful to me in the past with regard to contacting ntl about problems.

    Stuart MOD of the NTL forum http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/journal.php? has removed the offending rem arks and also putting my complaints to NTL management although as of today it will be the 5th day with out Telephone and over a week since NTL assured me my other services will be up and running correctly which they are'nt. I have started a Blog on the site listing the whole history regarding the issues - name and shame time i'm afraid of which can be found under my same user name as this site.

    By the way Hansi good to hear from you as I don't participate on line as often how'ever I do pop in to see who's about discreetly of course, a big hellooo to all.
