Im flying out to Majorca for few nights. Would something like this suffice?
As it wont let me post a link. Its a Nike small holdall bag from Argos. Catalogue no: 2861247
I know it is slightly bigger than the dimensions stated by easyJet.
Thanks for your help.0 -

This is an old forum, but as I've just got here, I thought that I would add that for sure the easy jet hand luggage rule is that weight doesn't count as long as you can get it into the overhead locker unaided. The size is still 55 x 40 x 20 and it's the 20cm depth which causes the problems with a lot of bags advertised as carry-on. I permanently haunt luggage departments with my tape measure in hand. It does knock out the little holdalls on wheels, which is what I'd prefer, as to get a bag into the framework, it does have to be of the advertised dimensions, which is a pain. However, I have found one which is almost exactly the correct dimensions. I bought it in Argos this year. It's 52 x 39 x20 - so a bit bigger than most cabin roll-ons, which is handy for the extra space if, like me, you travel usually with hand luggage only. It also weighs only 2 kg - probably because it's made of cardboard and cotton or something and won't last very long, but at £10.85 I'm not going to complain about that. I have to say that I've never been asked to put my bag into the frame by either easyjet or ryanair, but I have been asked to by BMI baby - and the one I had didn't fit (on the depth only, although it was much smaller overall) and they would't let it on. This made me very wary for the future. If you check in on line, to be fair the staff in the scrum at the gate are unlikely to spend time checking whether or not your bag is the exact dimensions required, however - not whether or not you're sneaking on your handbag as well as your one piece of luggage. I did see Ryanair staff doing it at Stansted two weeks ago, though, so be prepared..... However, rather than paying the extra £40 I think I'll manage without the extra knickers and cram it all in.0

You say you bought a bag from Argos. I ahve searched Argos site but can't find on eiin that size. You wouldn't know the Argos number of it, or the description, would you? They seem to be all wheeled cases in Argos but my Easyjet email said definitely no wheels. Would love to find something suitable. Thanks, Elliotsgranny0

Both my kids had wheely bags when we travelled Easyjet last month. One was a kids bag, the other was more adult like - and just measured the dimensions required! Nobody mentioned the wheels to us!0

Hmmmm yes I could just turn up with wheels but they could tell me there and then that I'm not allowed them and I don't want to end up on "Airline" shouting at the woman behind the desk. I think it's on their website, this picture of wheely cases with a big croos right through them.0

This is from Easy Jets baggage policy as stated on line today:
"Save where the limits set locally are more restrictive, passengers are permitted one standard piece of hand baggage to a volume limit of 55x40x20cm; no weight restriction applies within reasonable limits — i.e. a passenger must be able to place the piece of luggage safely in the overhead storage bins without assistance."
Am travelling with same cabin trolley bag have used on Ryan air. I think the picture with X cross on easy jet refers to forbidding a LARGE bag with wheels. There is nothing here to say no wheels allowed on bag within the required dimensions....0 -

See post #5 in this thread. The picture crossed out is to reinforce the fact that it's one bag and not two. It just so happens they have chosen a bag on wheels for the picture.0 -
