I've not read all the thread but ..

I did MU120 a few years back and loved it. It mainy covered stuff I had already done in school but had forgotten, lol. I loved the workbooks and how they were set out and got a fantastic result in my EMA. I knew I had a brain somewhere, lol.

However, algebra has never been mu strong point .. I mean, I have enough learning to work with numbers, never mnd trying to multiply letter, lol.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did .. stick with it. Good Luck

    Hi,

Not sure where evryone else has got to there hasnt been many posts for a while.

    :o:o:o:o:o

Sorry folks :o I kind of vanished off for a while as had a serious bit of bad news ( no health problems/deaths, just problems within the framework of my nice cosy family  ), but I'm back with a vengeance now :D

Doing well, DD100 is going OK, but I have decided to concentrate on the maths and economics side of it more (although DD100 encompasses economics, there isn't that much of it in there) so I'm maybe not so 'dedicated' to that one as the other, but I'm getting through it. MU120 is fab (never thought I would say that about maths!). I sent my first CMA last week and got 100% :j but I've got a TMA part 1 due next week so not resting on my laurels. I've also registered for DB123 starting next May. Probably looking at doing the other 2 maths courses which track with the one I'm doing next year and maybe analysing data, maybe the level 2 economics (depends on whether I decide to go the for economics and mathematical sciences Bsc or the Maths and Statistics).

So, the million dollar question, how are all you lovely folk doing? I'm sure there must be baby news ;). How are the courses doing? There's a DD100 TMA due soon - how's that going for everyone? How are you finding fitting the study in around your usual commitments?
hi im doing open university for the first time but im doing heath sciences can i join this support group?

Awwww:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: more dodgy hugs for you SC - CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a gorgeous name - I haven't heard that one, tis lovely, but not as lovely as the bubs who I'm sure is delish!

I'm sure it will settle down soon and baby blues are perfectly normal - you ever find those elusive 10 mins make sure you come and have a chat (or IM me if I'm not around MSE - which is about as likely as hell freezing over, but you never know :p).

I'm all excited for you :j:j.

How is your eldest coping with the new addition and is she still as closely related to the Tasmanian devil as my LO seems to be :rotfl:?

D'ya know, I'm so proud of you for taking so much on and dealing with it all so well - you must get times, as we all do, when it seems so much, but I am completely in awe of the way you deal with it all - you're supermum!

    Congratulations again hun xxx

I've updated the name of the thread to show the courses that all who have come here have listed so far (sorry if I missed any - pm me if I have!).

I wouldn't want anyone missing the thread thinking we only talk about DD100 as we're getting a bit more diverse now :)

ETA: Unfortunately the update isn't showing on the board, just when you click on the thread :(

  • Hey! Im starting DD100 in Feb just on the end straight of SA188 and getting in S187 hopefully before starting DD100.

Hows everyone whos doing DD100 finding it? I'm a little worried about doing a 60 point course and if I'll manage it!

:hello: Hey Dragonfly and welcome :)

You should be fine with 60 points (says she!), you'll manage it without realising soon enough but it will be a bit 'testing' to begin with unless you follow the directions for the courses about planning your study etc. Once you've got into the stride of it, you'll be fine :)

I love the look of the 2 other courses there - archaeology fascinates me to a certain degree, but I may try to fit in the Forensic Science short course (*mentally makes time next September between courses*). How did you find the SA188? What are you planning to do long-term with these courses?

We'll be able to give you some pointers on DD100 in February as I think most of us are starting it this month :)

See you've gone and done it now - I looked up the S187 and now I'm trying to fit in a cert in Contemporary Science :( At this rate I'm going to be studying til I retire ;). I can see why people say it's addictive!

Good luck with your studies and please pop back often for a chat and an update, we even serve coffee - have one on us :coffee:
