OU DD100 and MU120 - any other students here?

The tutors are great at offering additional advice where they can. As for tutorials, they are not compulsory. Thankfully, as I have never been able to attend one. They are an hour away, and trying to get someone to look after the children at night has been tricky.

For other sources of help and advice, when you log into OU there are forums in there. In addition to this facebook have a dedicated group, and there are usually course specific groups set up.

You can also get Office at a reduced price by using your OU email address. At the moment they are not doing the offer, but should be very soon. I took the offer earlier this year, and have found Word and Onenote a great help. Especially onenote as you can file everything, like using a ring binder.

Ive finally started my psychology got through two chapters Thank God:T.
Also started on TMA01 had a tutorial and my lovely tutor said she would accept it early due to circs. Baby is adamant she wont come until shes good n ready and its getting to the stage where Ive had enough of being a 2 in 1:rotfl:DD1 back at school still dont get enuf time to study as I spend most of the day tryin to catch up on sleep ooooohhhhhhh the things we do 4 kids!!

Hope all is well...I got an email from OU teh other day saying they havent received my registration back for DD100:eek::eek:. Even though Ive sent it off and Ive been awarded financial support it, I was absolutely guttered, however spoke to someone yesterday, she said shes registered me but i'm still unregistered on the OU website.:mad::mad: Dunno what to do?? I hope it all goes thru im lookin really forward to DD100.

Have any of you received your material for DD100??

[I'm doing DD100 too starting in October. My local OU centre is being vague about when the tutorials are going to be. Apparently they're not compulsory, and you can read many accounts of people getting on fine without them. I'd like to go along anyway - does anyone know what time of year these are likely to be (Birmingham Harborne centre if that helps!)]

Im doing DD100 and my centre is same as yours... but unfortunately I wont be able to attend (childcare etc) as mentioned before got alot on at the mo. Good Luck :beer:

Sorry not been around much recently been busy with lots of things! I have still not received my course things through yet, I have tracked on the DHL website and they look like they will be coming my way next week Looking forward to having a look through I also have my tutorial dates and my tutor details I got funding for the course and heard back a few weeks ago so very happy with that!

I did the predecessor to DD100 and completed my final course for my hons degree last year.

60 points is quite enough really but I am sure with commitment you can do 120, especially if you have the daytime to yourself.

I found the OU very flexible as regard delays on TMAs. Tutors can accept TMAs up to three weeks late and then, you can go to Regional for permission. I did this a few times over the 6 years and was never refused, so dont panic if you get a little bit behind.

You can also use the substitution rule to take the pressure off. I did this on all courses and still got a 2:1 and I'm sure you can still get a first even doing that for those who want one of those.

The time really does fly by the way!

Got some bits for DD100 this week but haven't even opened the parcel yet as been so busy and struggling a bit to fit things in and reorganise my time since the children have been back, but going to make a proper push next week.

Hi everyone, I am hopefully gonna receive my parcel for DD100 today :j .
Can't wait I have been looking forward to starting it all summer- it has dragged 5 weeks with bad weather and 3 children getting bored!! lol.

I think this is a brilliant idea, and will hopefully keep all of us motivated, and provide a good support network.

Hows everyone getting on? Has anyone read through dd100 materials yet...I dont know where to start...
Handed in TMA01 for my openings course last night:T:T:T.which isnt due till mid-Oct so gives me plenty of time to rest b4 DD2 pops along..:j:j(cant wait)..Actually doesnt give me plenty of time to rest OH No I think we've got an assignment for DD100 which also has to be submitted mid-Oct.:eek::eek:
