I agree with the other posters the meat is top quality & v good value. We find dishwasher tablets, big blocks of cheese, apple pie, cartons of juice & tiolet rolls particularly good value. Also, it's a good shop for unusual christmas presents for children. Also their own fresh pizzas are lovely, huge & really good value.0

Makro!!!You're having a laugh.
There is now another challenger to their crown and boy they don't like it.
If you don't use your Makro regularly then they now revoke it and ask you to re-apply.
As for bargains Makro has never been cheap for a good while.
You might get the odd good deal in their flyer but thats about it.
Quite a lot of people I know don't bother with Makro now.
The only ones who seem to bother are those who swap barcodes and put them on TVs!!!:)

Can you buy tyres individually as I heard that you have to buy 4 at a time. I only need 1 tyre.0

when was the last time you was at makro ??????? you dont have to pay for their card or anything. loads of people i know only 'buy' the cost-co card for the cheap tyres, nothing else because they know after vat they can get products cheaper elsewhere (and not just makro)
there is alot of things cheaper in makro compared to cost-co thats why i go there more than cost-co.Got married on 1st August

I have a Makro card as well as a Costco card and only buy the odd thing on it to keep it.
I know you don't have to pay BUT YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A BUSINESS TO JOIN which cuts out quite a cross section of people and YES if you don't use your Makro card regularly they now cancel it and ask you to re-apply with your business details again!!!
As for when you add VAT on WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU DO AT MAKRO???
I agree big stores sometimes have better offers on bigger electricals but read back through the posts and see the customer service of Costco.
I think we'll both probably argue until the end of time so I'll just agree to disagree.Live life TODAY and worry Tomorrow

We have both Costco and Makro cards, and our Costco one is used far far much more than Makro. Im usually only ever in Makro when they have their loo rolls in the Makro Mail. Other than that Costco beats it hands down.
When my son was in nappies it was the only place i would buy from. I get all my photos printed there and i get my glasses. On my second pair now and they are far better than any high street opticians. Current ones are FCUK and were around £90 inc lenses and test!! Only grumble is they used to do glasses for family too (my aunt got hers there a year ago) but they have stopped that now, you need to have a card yourself before you can get glasses. And their food, well i rave about it to everyone!!
All hail Costco!!! Be 5 years this year since we have been members!!! lolBringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -

Can you give us a cost comparison? You choose 15 products from Costco and someone else chooses the same at Makro. In any case as there is no vat on food it should make it easier.0 -
