The children are tearing lumps out of each other yet again. I have been offered some consultancy work over the holidays - but the boys would have to go to holiday club from 9am to 3pm. My intial reaction was not to do it as it wasn't fair for them. DH says it would be better for them (given their current inability to be in the same room without fighting/shouting/crying) and me if I accepted this work. I wish I was a better Mother, at the moment I just want to cry and walk away.

anyway, Dusty Kitten - still no decision. In terms of selling the place afterwards I think the bigger bathroom would win given that it will be a 5 bed house with 1 en suite and 1 bathroom, but for us giving all 4 boys (1 part time SSs) a decent sized room of their own is a higher priority than giving them a large shared bathroom. The en suite will be big enough for my long cherished fantasy free standing roll top bath, so we could just have a main shower room rather than a cramped family bathroom. I bet we toss a coin in the end - which is why I asked for opinions on here. No intention to sell, but not sure how long we can cope with the mortgage if things do start to crash.

I have put the TD and DW on but am really struggling with motivation to do anything else. Facebook scrabulous anyone?

Afternoon everyone, sorry haven't had a chance to read the thread yet so big huges to all who need one.

Things are not going my way at all here, my sister is getting married in september and we went and looked at dresses yesterday to get an idea of what she would like then we'll buy it off ebay. The one she loves on ebay is being sold by someone with 5 feedback score and 100% but he's bought 5 items this is his first time selling and he has a good few dresses listed. The problem is on his feedback it's as though he was the seller instead of buyer. So don't know what to do.

Can't seem to get in touch with the builder or kitchen man so gonna have to keep leaving messages and hope they get back soon.

Hubby got a phone call from his credit card today about money owed and he's putting his head in the sand about it. We had a long talk this morning about saving money and paying the bills, he agreed we really needed to pull in the money but then he say's lets go out for dinner which would cost us £30 so don't think i got through to him but at least i talked him out of dinner (well i just said no:rotfl: ).

Kiddies now killing each other and hubby lying on the sofa sleeping and i'm just getting stressed with it all.

    Have done
    2x loads of washing
    dishes done
    bedsheets now in the WM
    fire lit
    phone calls about car radio
clean washing folded and put away

Found torch so will get up into the attic tonight to see what junk there is. Advice please if you give an item away on freecycle how long do you give the person who is getting it to get in touch?????

Right i may see what else i can get done.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

This really made me smile but at least he could read what you had said.

:D I think he did, Dusty, I got home and there was washing on the line, downstairs had been vacuumed and, shortly after, dinner was on the go. He also proudly announced that he had been filling the dishwasher too!

Bit of a rush here this evening. I forgot we were going to see a friends band tonight and we have to get the dogs (dogs! We're looking after the childminders dog for a week or two as she's having a kidney removed today) walked and the boys prepared for my Mum's arrival.

Saying that... this is the first time I can ever remember not having to run around cleaning the house before she gets here.

Will make another attempt to catch up with the thread when I get home. I've only had chance to scan it so far :(

    evening everyone.

GandB - hope your DD is ok after the op.

i'm having a tough time here - the dentist seemed to really botch up my tooth as it was one of my back teeth - it took him 50 minutes to get it out, and in the end he had to leave part of the root in saying, oh - it will probably work its own way out. He has left a blister on my lip where he was twisting the pliers against it, and a hole the size of the grand canyon it feels, and drilled into my jaw bone to try and get the bit out - so i am now on the antibiotics, and strong nurofen, and probably parecetomol as well as i am in pain. The annoying thing is i didn't have any toothache before he started, so it is not even like there is any relief.

It was like one of those comedy parodies of a dentist - his assistant was suggesting things for him to try, and he just kept saying sorry the whole time, and by the end the anaesthetic was wearing off. I was so grateful to my sis for taking me as there is no way i could have driven home after that - i think i was in shock.

I've just managed to eat some scrambled egg and toast as i hadn't eaten since this morning, and get the WM on.

I can't see me doing anything else tonight other than sit on my bum and feed ds2 - although, i don't think he will be happy as i'm on amoxycillin - last time i had antibiotics while BF it was from the dr and he looked carefully into what i should have as some can make the milk taste nasty. Good job it is only 5 days worth.

    Michelle, x

Hi all. I am amazed how much you all do everyday. I know you all think you don't but compared to the 'old days' you modern woman do so much more and more often. I think you all need a pat on the back.

BTW back still bad so only emptied bins today and made some bread rolls in BM. Only me here so house doesn't look too bad if you don't look too close.

    Evening everyone
Wow what an eventful day Pigpen - they ought to do a reality tv show about you and your family.
Can't remember everything I've done today but it was a lot and I've not long sat down.
Hope everyones lo ops went well.
Ches -hope the back feels better soon. I suffer terribly with mine as well and its not fun is it. I find plenty of painkillers and keeping active seems to work the best for me.
Hugs to anyone else that needs them.
    See you all tomorrow.
