The children are tearing lumps out of each other yet again. I have been offered some consultancy work over the holidays - but the boys would have to go to holiday club from 9am to 3pm. My intial reaction was not to do it as it wasn't fair for them. DH says it would be better for them (given their current inability to be in the same room without fighting/shouting/crying) and me if I accepted this work. I wish I was a better Mother, at the moment I just want to cry and walk away.
And you need to also be a person not just mum, this is not bad for the kids at all, they need to see that too.
Sometimes I take a time out from the boys and I come back a better person and mum for it and the same goes for them(being better persons, not mums obviously)
when they have been away from eachother.
Michelle Sounds to me like you ought to get a second opinion on the root that's been left.
I was told that the root has to come out otherwise it can get badly infected.
I had to have have two of my wisdom teeth surgically removed because my dentist looked at the x-ray and decided he wouldn't be able to remove the whole root by pulling as it had grown in a funny way. I had two stitches each side where the teeth had been but I wasn't in that much pain as long as I didn't eat or talk:rotfl:.
Can you phone NHS direct to ask advice? or another dentist? Don't leave it as it seems he had no clue what he was doing

Excellent idea Dusty *rushes out to buy Get well cards in bulk*0

Michelle hugs for you and I second everything Germish has said - I very much doubt the root will come out on it's own and I am sure it cannot just stay their either. You could pm toothsmith - or post on a thread he is on - I've seen him help lots of people out in the past (I am sure he is a dentist)The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Can we please stop discussing teeth before I cry? The bit of root will not come out on its own unless it is already hanging out/dislodged.. if it is free of the bone it will work its way out.. bits of mine did. I hope it is less sore very quickly Michelle.. ((hugs)) nothing worse than toothache!
Hex.. the boys will have a fantastic time at holiday club over the school holidays and you will probably welcome the break and the work and the money it is just the same hours as school and they will see thier friends and play games etc.. they'll love it! Don't feel bad.. I used to bung mine in when I sat at home.. because they were spending time out of the house doing things I wouldn't do with them and often couldn't do!!
Tomorrows list will be up momentarily.. then I am having a VERY early night.. I am shattered even though I have done nothing but ebay today.. 87 items listed!!.. 27 need their descriptions doing but the titles and specifics are correct on all but one I think.. but I can't remember which one it was.. besides.. it says the item is black.. when it is actually red!.. I'm waffling.. sorry...

mojt - re rain in next county - not boring at all, I'm interested! I'm a gardener and obsessed with the weather! My supply agency contact rang when I had just got back from nearly 3 hours work in the sunshine on the allotment, and told me it was pouring with rain in Maidstone. Sure enough, it arrived here about an hour later...The forecast is for non stop rain tomorrow.
hex2 - Not in the slightest a bad mother. You really shouldn't ever aim to be more than an 'alright mum' anyway, nobody needs more than that.;) If you were perfect you'd take most of the fun out of their teenage years when they'll spend most of the time moaning about how you are ruining their lives. Go ahead and do the consultancy if you really want to. They'll be absolutely fine.
DD and DS1 are continuing to bicker most of the time, with the occasional escalation into outright aggression. I think they'll be spending most of the summer in separate rooms. Preferably in separate towns.
I spent hours on the allotment, and got half a bed cleared of a pile of dug out clumps of grass and prunings from the fruit area. It's now cleared and after a quick rake over I can transplant the leeks! Completely shattered, but very pleased I got it done. After collecting DS2 from school, I made a chocolate cake, strawberry icecream, and spaghetti with meatballs. Regret no time for more than a quick flit round the living room.
Now off to book the hotel for the stop over night for our holiday. Under three weeks until we go!
PS pigpen - was the college trip for the sewing class? Have you had the interview for the science yet?
Pps - michelle - another dentist phobic here, shuddering in sympathy. I know little about it, but am rather surprised that he didn't refer you to a hospital if it was so complex. Gentle hugs, and keep taking the painkillers. I'd also seek more advice, if you can.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
No dailies done here except the beds being made. BUT I finally finished chapter 3 of my OU work :rotfl: Started the tutorial and after doing the first section 3 times gave in and went round to my mates to look over some financial paperwork with him :rotfl::rotfl: It was that or murder DD when she came in due to a distinct lack of adult contact and her playing me up
Got home just in time to do the school run, then took DD up to my mums so I could speak to her, lost track of time and DD ended up missing Brownies
Oh well.
Ex has agreed to have DD this weekend from Friday to Sunday:D So I'm planning on catching up with my reading/tutorials tomorrow & Thursday, clean house & pack for DD on Friday and then have the weekend off
We'll have to see though.
Right, I think I'll check Freecycle then head to bed. I'm shattered :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Well DS decided to have a shower smack on teatime and left the bathroom a disaster area. DD had her bath at 8.00pm and subsequently soappy hand printed every tile she could reach. And, I have been waiting, whilst doing my daily flying, for DH to have the shower he said he was gonna have at 8.30pm.
So have now totally given up and will do it tomorrow. Got a MS to do in town so I'm gonna get drenched having seen the weather forecast.
Right off to bed now. Started a good book last nightSee you all tomorrow.
