Forgot to mention that HMC&E are now scrutinising all packages sent to the UK from Landy Bridal and their subsidiaries. It appears that they have been falsely declaring the contents to avoid duty.

If you do order from L.B. then you will possibly find that you will have to pay import duty and any additional fines levied by customs. All in all, that means your average £200 dress will set you back £600 to get hold of it!

Oh, and if you don't pay the duty then the carton declared as "rags" by Landy Bridal will become just that. They aren't interested because they already have your money!

You are a delightful person aren't you. I just love the sympathetic tone you have whilst you try and frighten a load of brides to be with this scaremongering. Why not drop the act of "trying" to help. :(

Ahhh, I see. Now you've got inside information from HM Customs & Excise Department? As people are getting the items sent via TNT, do you want to check out your sources there too? Maybe ALL LB dresses will be marked with some UV marking which will only be apparent when the photographs are processed???

With regards to the value of the goods, surely the manufacturer knows the price better than Customs? If they've sold a dress on ebay for £10 and charged £80 for delivery, who's to say the item cost more than they sold it for??

Wish C&E would make sure that we NEVER paid over the odds for things - better still if they made sure that all things sold on ebay never went for a song - imagine the price you'd get for tatt! :rotfl:

Hope you had a good night's rest while you had some of us fretting needlessly over our big day. You are a troll and should go and haunt somewhere else.
