You looked gorgeous. Did you get your bridesmaids dresses from there as well. I'm not getting married until Oct 09, would you recommend I get the dress now. Did you pick your dress from another designer?? Sorry for all the questions I am a bit nervous lol. x:rotfl:0

Thank you.
My bridesmaids dresses came from here http://www.jewlzbridal.co.uk/
I went and tried several dresses on to decide the style I liked. It's a copy of Mori Lee style 3820 but I had it made with a lace up back and the train was detachable so I took it off for the evening rather than trip over it. Total cost was £92.
It's up to you when you order it - it depends whether you have found "the" dress or you think you might change your mind. I would definitely suggest you go and try some on as I started off wanting one thing and changed my mind completely :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

aslo if i find a dress i like how do i know its going to look the same on when i get it?obviously cant?lol
but if i find a dress i like, how do i find out the make and number of dress to give to landys?
on made to measure dresses do i just hand over all measurements i.e bust hips and my height?
thanks in advance for your help
oops sorry another question
what about the underskirt bit to make it sticky outy?do i buy that separately from her?appreciate what you have got x0 -
Hello Scooper,
To answer your questions,as best as i can, if you find the dress you love the copy wont be identical due to copyrights, usually the beading is changed, but the style stays the same, when trying on the dress's just rememeber the designer name and then you can look on their website and get the name of the dress to pass onto Landy. I used a seamstress to take my measurements, who i later used to do the minor alterations that was needed, if you look on ebay in their store asapbay, it will show you what measurements are needed.
Have fun trying on all the dress's and hope you find the one x x
Oh and i brough my underskirt from ebay from USA, took my second attempt to get it right, but when trying them on in the shop, just try to take note of it, like how many layers of tulle it had, or if they used a hoop, which should help you x x0 -
what is the best way to order? seen a wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses and possibly flower girl dresses on her site but the drop down list only has the standard size. Childrens ones also pnly have the adult dress sizes shown.
Do you select the closest size and then send your measurements with payment?
Or is it best to contact her first and get her to list the exact thing you want, on ebay?
Thanks0 -
When in doubt contact and talk 'face to face' as it were then you know exactly what to do!
good luck!0 -
Hi there, I have just ordered my dress from Landy. I found it on their website a couple of weeks ago but then spotted it on ebay and won it at the start price which has saved me even more money. I simply emailed Landy saying "can I have made to measure please and my measurements are....".
We had a real laugh taking the measurements - there are so many you have to take (nipple to nipple :rotfl: ) but it gives what measurements they need both on their website and on their ebay listings.
Then I decided I wanted a matching underskirt/petticoat to go with the dress and a lace bolero so I emailed them again asking for advice and they are making a bespoke underskirt which will be attached to the inside of the dress and will match the style of the dress perfectly. I paid for everything via paypal which was quick and easy.
I have to say that the customer service has been excellent - they reply promptly, are really helpful and they have good English. They were even replying to my emails when they had a public holiday.
They are starting work on the dress today and I will let you know what it's like when it arrives (should be end of November). Can't wait!0 -
Congratulations!! Very exciting....
A real dumb !!! question, but the prices on Landy are euros aren't they and not gbp???0 -
Yes the prices on their website are definitely in euros, although their ebay listings are in GBP. If you email them they will give you the current UK price if you're not sure on the conversion rate they are applying.

Jut a tip on Landy - I was outbid on my dress at the great price of £32 but I got a second chance offer the next day at my final bid I'm so glad I didn't put on a higher bid in a panic!
Might not work all the time but every £1 countsOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
