First day was excellent at new job, was home for 5.30 today - usually only leaving at that time from my last job 40 miles away! - Kel, my tax office had a 4 week delay with their post and got a letter last week from them, hoping it would be my cheque but it was a discrepancy letter - more delays! I'm owed about £1k too! Well, had the horrendous deduction again of CSA from my wages (£600) so got just £227 to live on now! Need to MOT and tax the car too! Only with the support of you guys have I been getting thru this

Evening all,
Glad your first day at work was good Tony, I hope it continues, with less travelling and more salary sounds like you are on to a winner.

Kel, I WONT be telling my OH that you did that for your OH for breakfast, he will be very jealous!! Today was my first day off work and I didn't see 6, 7 or 8am!!! So no chance of me doing that.

I have had a lovely day, DS went off on his bike with friends to go swimming and bike riding. Swimming is free for all the school holidays for under 16's at our local pool, so he can do that every day as far as I'm concerned. He had £1.50 today but I have stressed he won't have that every day!! DD and I have chilled at home, played in the sand and water (she is 5), collected and washed stones, did loads of washing and a few household chores. Sounds dull but it was a lovely day. My car is off the road... and so in some ways it is making me do simple things.

I will be happy if all the six weeks off work are like today.

o m g !! 4 weeks - i neeeeeeeed that in august lol hey ho if i dont expect i may be pleasantly surprised...:o we shall see....but thanks!! just makes me soooooooooo mad - theydont offer this information do they!!! i think if i hadnt been startin a new job in september i wouldnt have say down and organised all my 'P' forms and wage slips and checked them and noticed!! the government or who ever must make millions a year from dippy blondes like me!!!! :eek:

Ruby i am a softie....a big softie....!! i just awake early each day still!! its not too bad though because ive kept busy - your day sounds lovely, sometimes the simple calm days are the best.

Oh Tony - didnt realise new job began today!! good first day? sorry im tryin remember all posts - if you said - forgive me! ...travelling will make a huge difference to your day ...hope you are very happy there x

Hi kel, day been busy as usual, done MORE washing, just returned from holidays, taxed the car :mad: , did loads of shopping, had a look round garden centre, god its pricey there, but that's WEBBS Garden Centre for you, came home, picked up rabbit from hotel , put the tea on, hid in the cupboard, thunder storm overhead :eek: , washed up, etc etc etc, I bet you wished you hadn't asked ???? lol,

We'll manage kel!!!!!! Hi Rubi and Runny, how are we today?? I'm home at 5.30 from my new job today, its a great feeling!!! Just realised why I'm so short this month because my company have only paid me to 25th July, so I'm £200 worse off! At least it means in August that I will have a better month and hopefully have received the tax refund too! Hope everyone is ok!!!!

Hi Kel, soz for not answering last night but the big bed beckoned!. Went to Jersey for a week, absolutely gorgeous, well used to live there many years ago and 1st time back for 14 odd years, it has changed somewhat though, god I really miss the place still. Now these rabbits .............. mine lives in a luxury palace, with a double run, covered over so she doesn't get sunburnt, yes animals burn too, she is soooooo laid back I often wonder how she gets up in the morning !!!!!, lol,
