My chinese takeaway! I'm addicted :(
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.
  • I agree about the free range eggs. I know a man who has an allotment and keeps hens so I get a dozen for a £1. I also never compromised on loo and kitchen rolls but have been converted to the Kirkland own brand from Costco. Likewise coca cola, Sainsbury's own is better imo.
Things I would never give up include pet insurance, good Irish whiskey, Horlicks and Dove soap. Everything else is subject to change.
Slightly O/T but I remember an interview the Chairman of Heinz gave on The Money Programme years ago and he admitted making beans for Sainsbury's.

Most Haunted addict. :o Must have Sky

Hubby must have his car mechanics magazine and me my Rosemary Conley mag and broadband.

Other than that I have to have my 'diet' food to control diabetes.

Its so double faced of the government to tell us we should be eating more healthily yet pushing up the cost of the basic healthy diet staples such as fruit, veg and other 'good' food!

Glad to see I am not the only one who cant give up the better brands - I try and refuse to be forced to buy cheap rubbish full of fat and callories :p

;) OOPS! Sorry just noticed OP's question mentions the word ONE

I normally would have a list that could go on forever if i had the choice.

But since my OH lost his job in Feb, we just cannot afford to be picky anymore. Food shopping is now at Aldi, which i found rather upsetting as it was a realising that i couldn't afford to shop at Tesco anymore, Tesco for god sake.

I hate the cheap brands, but i've had to get used to the taste and shopping at Aldi means less variety, thus less ££££.

Clothes are shamefully off freecycle members, we both haven't bought clothes in the 6mths he's been unemployed, or shoes for that matter. Hair colouring is once in a blue moon and i do it myself now, mostly i go without cos it means more money for a food shop.

Hair cuts = my 1st about 3 weeks ago for this year, i can't tell you how much i enjoyed it.

I hate the way i work a whole month to basically just pay the bills, it kills me that the only way i have enough money is cutting down on food shopping and going without clothes, shoes, cinemas, drinks out, days out. I hate weekends........
