Not very good at this yet. Is there a thread or section for all the competitions which can be answered online or with an e-mail. All the ones I've seen so far need you to send in a postcard or phone or text.

All the online comps are listed here underneath the stickies

Most are online or email, they usually state whether they are phone entry comps so they are easily avoided :)
• Not sure if everyone already knows this, but if you use gmail, most comps don't know it's the same as googlemail - it means an extra entry on the instant ones like cadbury, and the refer a friend ones you can actually refer the same email address you enter with, rather than using any spare addresses you have :)

Wow, I never knew that! I have one of each, but presumably this only works for the older gmail to googlemail and not vice versa?

Cheers!
• I think it's both ways  I was quite late signing up, so I was a googlemail, but I definitely still receive mails as gmail, so most instant ones I have a go as xxx@gmail.com & xxx@googlemail.com before moving on to my other addresses!

Might help you to speed up your 5 entries to ITV comps. I use Firefox on my iMac pretty sure this will work with other browsers.

When entering the week day ITV comps with the Captcha word box, I complete the form accurately, ensure the tick boxes are ticked/unticked and then I deliberately type the Captcha words wrongly!!

This returns a red error message in the Captcha Box with two new words to enter. All my form content is still complete. I type the correct words and hit submit.

When the confirm screen appears I just hit the Back arrow this returns me to the completed form still with the red error message but another two Captcha words. I enter the new words hit Submit and then repeat the cycle: Back Arrow - enter new Captcha words - Submit; another three times and I have my five entries.

The entries definately get submitted because ITV tell me if I do a 6th one by mistake.

I think this saves me time and by making sure I get the form correct first time I get my 5 accurate entries with filling the form in once.

I'm sure some of you will think this sounds complicated but I've just retired from being a process consultant and part of that was an obsession with doing things right first time and minimising repetitive data entry.
Best Comp wins in 25 years of comping. Holidays to Hawaii, Toronto, Thailand twice, Dubai twice, Cyprus, Spain, Lake District, Glasgow and London. A couple of £1000 wins as vouchers. 2 Dimplex Fires. Baby cot and chest of drawers. £500 of blinds. Shibumi Jacket. Various small cash prizes under £500 and shopping vouchers. Cosmetics & weedkiller!

Thanks, however I think a lot of people with FF have been doing this for a long time now - especially as it used to be 30 entries a day for each one, not 5!

Hi amsquared :) Thanks for posting this tip, however, it is already in the Guide (admittedly in not as much detail!)
6 Do you have any tips for the multiple entry comps (Like Real Deal or Golden Balls, etc)?
This doesn’t work all the time as the sites do seem a little temperamental, although I’d try it as it does save a lot of time & effort when it works.

If you type in all your details & make a mistake when typing in the 'Captcha' words, your details should be saved onto the form for you to enter again meaning you only have to put the new spam code in.

Experience has found that you can ignore any 2 letter words, any numbers & punctuation marks. If there is a word which is completely unreadable then type the other word as that is probably the word which will be checked.

Something else you can try to speed up the multi entry comps is to use the keyboard a little more, rather than using the mouse. Select the correct answer (A/B/C/D) with your mouse & complete your contact details before typing the text into the Captcha box. When you have correctly typed the text in Captcha, press these three keys in this order to submit your entry:
1. TAB (moves to the I Agree tickbox)
2. SPACE (puts a tick in the I Agree tickbox)
3. ENTER (submits the comp entry)
Do it slowly the first few times to get the hang of it and then you'll find you can speed up.

You can continue entering until the screen displays a warning message, usually in red, that you have exceeded the maximum number of entries. MSE Compers have won these comps in the past by entering until they get the message so don’t worry, you will not have disqualified yourself.

It is perfectly acceptable to put a mobile number into the phone number boxes, again MSE Compers have done this in the past & still won.
Please do continue to post any ideas that you have though, as they will help all MSE Compers! :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Thanks - I must have missed that hint.

No worries, I'll be the first to admit there is an awful lot of info gathered there! Even having pulled it all together, I still go back & read bits & think oh I don't remember putting that on there :D
