Thanks VelvetGlove :A, your beginner's guide was sooo invaluable to me. I had been using the thanks button method you described but have since found the subscription option (as well as thanks button) really helps when trying to work out where i'd got too whilst still trying to get through all the comps on here. When i'm up to date, plan on just use the 'ending on' option and revert back to just the thanks button. (Whew hope that made sense !!)

Apologies as hadn't realised that was in the beginner's guide too, T--J said he couldnt remember where he'd seen it.. mystery solved

I think a great way of keeping track of new competitions is to use the RSS feeds of this forum - that way you'll receive the latest comps in your newsreader every half hour or so.

There's one slight problem with it at present (and I've emailed Tech Support about this - hopefully they'll resolve the issue) and that's if there's more than 15 new posts in the time interval they have selected then only 15 of those show up! It's a shame it's not working 100% correctly because I definitely think this is the way to go.

I've looked through 'The Guide' and can't find the answer to this, can we somewhere have a list of the 2 radio 'groups' I have the names here but not the URL's (atm). These 'usually' have the same comp on ALL stations but you can enter all of them, and some people have won more than one of the same prize through them.

Next weekend is the earliest I can get it into the Guide but I had noted down someone mentioned them all in the Discussion thread a week or so back. And yes, I've won the same comp from a couple of different stations, as has jen.eng I think it was from memory so I am certain it is possible. The Bauer & GCAP radio groups will be making a more detailed appearance next weekend

Not sure if it's been updated (I haven't looked through the guide to check sorry) but I have read in a number of posts that the following 2 radio stations are the same so you can only enter 1 out of these 2 not both.

Manchesters Magic
Magic 1152

Comping Guide updated:

1. Finding New Comps - Use WH Smith site to find magazine names, then hunt for a website for a mag & see if they have comps online.

I've done a bit of digging about Magic 1152 and Manchesters Magic and I think they're 2 different stations, when I first made the lists I found a load of the different Magic stations on a map of the UK, I can't remember where it was but I'll try and find it to double check!

I've found 2 Wiki pages though and I think Magic 1152 is Newcastle and Manchesters Magic is Magic 1152 of Manchester



Edit: I can't seem to find the map anymore but will keep looking tomorrow!

It was very similar to that but larger scale and it showed all of the Bauer sites, I think it might have been on the Bauer Media main site, although I think they might have changed their site as I can't find it now, either that or I'm not looking in the right place

Not very good at this yet. Is there a thread or section for all the competitions which can be answered online or with an e-mail. All the ones I've seen so far need you to send in a postcard or phone or text.
