As I posted on the other thread about this scam, I recieved one today and I'm in SE6 - so they're moving south! Thank goodness I googled before ringing - the handwritten stuff on the blue "Congratulations" slip made it look more legit but I was suspicious of the Mr/Mrs thing.

I'm in Newington, Kent. I did call he number but as soon as the guy spoke I hung up and googled it where I ended up here! Can't believe half the uk seem to have received these letters!!

We've also received one in Milton Keynes.

It comes in an prepaid envelope from Glos and contains a compliment slip and 'Congratulations' coucher. It does look real due to the handwritten element.

Will forward it to trading standards.

Yep, I got caught out by these people but I haven't rung the phone number as I knew it was a scam when I opened the envelope. I looked up the company name and it lead me here. I A guy at the door was posing as a mori bbc pollster recently and asked me questions with the answers on a rating from 1 to 10 for each. This was in Stockport.

Additional: This is a pure scam posing as a mori poll and they even give you a mori branded pen and leaflet with the number 0808 238 5456 as a number to call to verify it is legitimate. Don't phone the number!

Good morning all

I am in Milton Keynes, and I had an envelope/compliment slip and a "congratulations voucher" slip yesterday from these people. The format is exactly as described previously.

This morning I tried to telephone the number on the voucher - 01908 980007 - from my workplace (a large organisation), and got a "number unobtainable" tone (maybe because I telephoned before 9.30?). As far as I am aware, there are no numbers in Milton Keynes starting with a "9" which was why I didn't want to contact them using my home 'phone! I then "googled" the "company", which led me here.

I will, like Money Watcher, inform Trading Standards.

I received an envelope marked "Mr/Mrs" and the address containing comp slip and congratulations message. Suspecting that there is no such thing as a free gift, I googled matters consulting ltd and the first thing I saw was your warning message - so many thanks I live in Brockley in L B of Lewisham and will be sending the envelope and contents to Trading Standards.:T
