I got one in Lancashire this morning and it was addressed (vaguely) to me. The suspicion I have is that it was attached to a survey I filled in a few weeks ago that was alleged to be complusory. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Nightranger: if you can remember any of the details of the 'compulsory' survey -- and the form it took -- could you post 'em here?

They are appearing in Sittingbourne Swale Area with a local phone number same format except the compliment slip say "Matters Conslting TA Survey UK" Loked like a scam so googled it and came across this forum.

Interestingly I've not had one and I live in the supposed town or origin

I guess they wouldn't want us locals bashing their door down :beer:

What an inspired thought! And, of course, it might've occurred to them that door-bashing is a highly effective form of exercise and much cheaper than taking advantage of the, um, discounted gym memberships. . .

Hi,

Just to warn folk in the Nottingham and Erewash (border with Derbyshire) area, especially Long Eaton/Sawley/Stapleford that this scam is going on here also - letter arrived Monday morning.
Don't be fooled that its a Nottingham number!!!

Luckily enough I googled it and it led me here, so I thought it would warrant my first post here on MSE!!

Recieved one today in Medway Towns,Kent and went straight to Google, and thus finished up here. I would not have replied personally but I am sure they find plenty who will. I hate to see people suckered by these scams, thanks for all the info.
