I've just received this rubbish today, here in Darlington, as have several of my friends and family.

I'm a cynic anyway and wouldn't have responded although no doubt, some will so Thanks for the confirmation of the scam.

I'll be informing my local Trading Standards of my "good fortune" tomorrow.

I recieved on in Darlington, threw mine out, but my Nana rang me up to tell me that she'd won a gym membership and passed it onto me.

I went round and discovered the same slip I threw out, my Nana had rang them up.

Fortunately because I have free minutes on my phone (and too much spare time) I've spent the last half hour harassing them with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jack Black prank calls.

God I'm bored when I'm off... still good fun though

Got my compliment slip with the blue "Congratulation" slip of paper today, was a bit dubious so "Googled" it and it led me to here. Good job I'm already registered with this site. Anyway the blue slip said the usual that This number has drawn one of the gifts donated by local business blah, blah, blah. Thought it might be a scam straight away. Anyway with the advice given on here I contact my local council and asked for the number of Trading Standards but apparently Consumer Direct East of England is handling all Trading Standards calls so I gave them all the details. Might hear back from Trading Standards about it, will keep you up to date if I do, hopefully the more people who report this company the more it will get looked into and then hopefully shut down or fined.

Just got one of these through the letterbox Peterborough, Cambs ,got one 2-3yrs ago and rang number to be told I had won a gym membership (but had got to pay each time I went!) told them I thought it was a free prize but they said the payments I made each time I went where for administration costs!
Did not take offer up as realised it was a scam,going to contact local trading standards office now.

Received one this morning (Bolton) and instantly knew it was a scam due to it not actually being addressed to anyone!

After a quick search on here, it confirmed my belief! Thanks to the OP's details.
