  • Well Im back on track today even tho I was offered bucks fizz and crisps! No way!
Breakfast was 3 pieces of bacon and 1 fried egg
Lunch was 2 slices of ham rolled up with fullfat cream cheese
Tea was 2 sausages with fried egg and about 150g green beans.
One s/f jelly on its own.
So-you can tell-it was "easy" cooking!
Just need to prepare salad for work tomorrow. I think I will experiment with salmon and eggs too! I shall add a bit of cream I think-not sure. I guess it would work with tuna also-just dont like tuna as much.
Shopping list tomorrow = 2 dozen eggs!
Only worked a couple of hours today so I got my body down the gym before work. Im feeling muscles in my arms I never knew I had! Only been a week too!
So-I may not lose a lot of weight-it may just solidify into muscle at this rate! Another good thing for eating a good quantity of protein Im guessing.
Going to get out my body fat monitor-Ive just remembered it!

Like the salmon idea Mercy - I have some salmon fillet so will try it on them - need something different to do with them (pre-cook and leave to cool). Actually might do them on Sat to take to the football along with a salad.

    Today I been mostly eating:
B - omelette with cheese, mushroom and spring onion
L - tuna mayo and salad
D - 'sausages', leeks and cabbage (cooked with butter I am a convert)

Don't know how it works on fresh salmon, do tell when you know.

Watch the egg content as too much isn't always nice if eaten later, goes a bit rubbery. You might find yours is a little wetter, just cook it slower if so. Let it vap off. And you may want a little salt unless you apply that when cooking salmon first.

    I like experimenting :)

    Best o luck!

Aww, I do miss the hens though... I played with them for 30 minutes this morning, made sure they had plenty to eat and drink etc... and I did insist on tucking them into bed but they were already sound asleep by the time I got to them :(

Well today I somehow ended up being filmed for tomorrow's Comic Relief in front of Cardiff Millennium Centre, so do watch out for me - I'm in the Call Centre Choir singing "Islands in the Stream"! Don't ask why (I don't work anywhere near a call centre :rotfl:). I just went with it.

So, another sporadic day, in fact probably the worst so far:
    - Homemade egg mayonnaise, apple
    - Layers of seasoned lava (seaweed)
    - Two bananas
    - Egg and tomato baguette

Lashings of green tea in between... I know all the fruit isn't great but it's free in my office and when I ran out of "packed lunch" I was starving. The egg and tomato baguette is also turning into a bad habit - very difficult to choose something veggie and low-carb (and preferably MSE!) when you're dashing through a train station so I just chose the highest protein food on offer... you'll also notice there's not a lot of salad or veg in there... naughty Badger.

aliasojo, I don't fancy the idea of coconut oil either. Not sure why!

Regarding pasta sauce, I can't imagine buying any brand at all. At the risk of sounding evangelical, nothing can come close to home-made. I bought a Dolmio once, when on special offer, and it was so horrible.

Now, can I have a moan, please (kissitbetta, I don't mean to raise your ire )? Made carrot and coriander soup for the family this evening. Exceedingly painful as it's total heaven, but I managed to eat nothing but a taste - to check for seasoning, you understand. :D

Been quite good this week. Have avoided buying any 85% chocolate, which helps! Out to dinner after theatre tomorrow, but only Bella Italia (Tesco vouchers), so will be pretty easy.

I must confess, I do do my share of moaning, but never do I wonder why I don't lose as a result. I know that only too well. :D I moan purely at my own lack of will power. And, of course, if we all that particular thing in abundance, none of us would be posting on this thread in the first place...

Badger, give us a clue what you look like, so we can try to pick you out!

Life sounds pretty exciting for you right now. I should think the weight will fall off you with your schedule, so I shouldn't worry too much about the diet. :)
  • HC-I like Bella Italia but Im a bit stuck on what I could eat there? What will you have?

Starters: mozzarella and tomato salad; garlic prawns in garlic butter with rocket salad and salsa; the baked mushrooms; the cured meat platter (no ciabatta)

Mains: salads (no ciabatta, of course, and no croutons or balsamic dressing - but could take your own dressing. I have, many times - Waitrose fresh Caesar dressing is lovely and only about 3.something carbs per 100g), any of the mains without potatoes, pasta or bun

I'll probably have mozzarella and tomato salad, followed by steak (no fries) with dolcelatte and maybe a side salad.

Can't be sure of all carbs in recipes, but most of the above are pretty safe.

ETA: In my experience they won't substitute anything at all - so you can't expect a green vegetable in exchange for fries. God knows why. I know they're a chain, but Pizza Express are too, and yet will do anything you ask!

Hi, quick question - in the IPD it says only to use mayo with no sugar in it, now I have stood in several shops and read every flippin jar and it's all got sugar in!! I have tried making my own before and I didn't really like it, so which mayo do you use?
    Slightly bitter

Of all the ones I've looked at, Hellmann's seems to be lowest carb.

I did a mayo taste-test over Christmas - bought all kinds of exotic, expensive (mostly French) mayos, and at the end of it all I decided good old Hellmann's was the nicest-tasting! But then I'm a cheap date :D
