I'm 42 and probably past it. I've just reactivated my Facebook account, but can anyone tell me WHY there are people under 'People You May Know' who I've never heard of? Some I do, but others are strangers. This is why I deactivated in the first place. Do people just try and add themselves to strangers' accounts because they're sad and lonely? I'm quite confuzzled.

ive just eaten the crunchy cheesy pasta on the top of my childrens chicken and mushroom pasta bake

but it was bloody lovely !!!!!

go into your settings and make sure it is all set to private

the ppl you dont know might be friends of friends that fb think you might know if you see what i mean

HC i am older than u and feel the same.. just cos someone i know knows someone else why would i want to know them? ... or maybe its we are just horrible and dont want to make friends lolol.... i deactivated all the notifications so i dont even know i get them haha

I'm really having to battle with Facebook. I've just reactivated and there are about 3 dozen people wanting to be 'my friend'. Some are fine, but others I don't know from Adam.

Daisy, thank you. I will PM you, if I may, so you can tell me if everything is private enough. But what do I PM you? My full name? Goodness, I feel elderly.

Badger, ignore shykins. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to Lindor chocolates. If there is a heaven, Lindor will have a factory there.

hc - pm me your email address that is on your facebook page and i can find you from that

you need to go into settings then privacy then basically set everything to friends only
then do the notifications - i only get notifications if someone has added me or tagged me in some hideous picture or other - as you can see there are plenty of me on there !!!

sure fb was invented so your friends can cause you maximum embarrassment from dodgy photos !!!

daisy now i have added to u do u have access to my photos etc?? i assume u do but yr friends dont unless i add them as well.... i think i have everything set so no one can see much else but i dont really know either.... HC we need lessons it seems lol... i get yahoo messenger cos i can talk to friends on it and dont see anyone i dont want to add, as i said maybe i am just billy no mates and happy that way hehe

shy - if i comment on one of your photos then i think it shows up on my home page - the pic and the comment but my friends then cant see your profile unless they are your friends too

however sometimes ive been able to see complete albums of friends friends - say when a friend has been tagged in an album but then you can browse the rest of the album if you want - but you cant comment on the pics
have to say not sure how you can stop that happening - maybe saz will know
only joined myself about 6 weeks ago !!! lol
