Good morning!
Day 3 of my low-carb - I feel like I've been on it weeks already! Meals will be:
B - 2 fried eggs & half tin chopped toms (have already sneaked a bit of yesterday's stewed apple!)
L - salmon salad (same as yesterday)
D - homemade garlic chicken (might roll it in oregano as someone has previously suggested) + garlic mushrooms/leeks
Well, I think I was a bit optimistic when I said I would read the previous posts in a couple of days!! Sat down last night & read for 3 hours - only got to page 20!! Only over 100 pages to go!! Some really useful information so far, & lots of support & encouragement, will try to nibble away at the rest of the posts over the coming weeks!!
PS-going to try & do a sig today, as other people have done, to show what low-carb I'm doing.0 -
Morning, folks
Yesterday for me:
B: none
L: sausages and mushrooms'shepherd's pie', cabbage; strawberries and cream
S: chunk of cheese
Today:
B: none
L: sausages and mushroomsmoussaka (I love this so much, but I shall have to stop eating it so often, or I'll get sick of it!), vegetables
Well done for getting to Day 3, sweetserendipity. That's the hardest bit over.
I too am a Savoy cabbage lover. Adore cabbage and bacon too.
Have a great day, all.
PS. Perhaps I'll do a LC sig too. Don't want to tempt the hubris gods, though.0 -
There, done it. Horrible to have to amend it if you put a pound or two on, though. :rolleyes:0

Fingers crossed I manage to do something similar.
Also noticed when I was reading the earlier posts that Shykins, Ted, Tinkerbell & Vik6525 have lost loads. Well done everyone!!0 -
Morning all. All happy little campers today?
I am. I've just has 2 sausages, 2 slices of bacon and 2 fried eggs. *sighs happily*
I'm going to force myself to go for a walk in a while. (I hate exercise I'm afraid.) It's either that or I go on the kids trampoline for 20mins.
Wonder if the neighbours would think I'd finally lost it.......
Have a good day.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Thanks, sweetserendipity. When I read your post, I thought 'oops, that's a mistake - I can't have lost that amount of blubber!' I had to work it out again - but it's quite correct.Plus no hunger, more energy and almost no problem when going out for meals (Zizzi, please take note: your menu is crap for low-carbers...).
I've low-carbed before, but never as successfully as this, partly due to this lovely thread. I've now got to the stage where I look fine in normal (January) clothes, i.e. trousers and a top, but I'd like to lose another stone so that I can feel comfortable wearing shorts in the summer.
It was Tinkerbell who set me off this time. I was very miserable and rather ashamed that I'd let myself get into that position. I knew I finally had to take action, and Tink's posts on another thread mentioned her fantastic weight loss and the IPD in her sig. I made the decision to begin the day after my birthday and, like you, I've been inspired by Shykins, Ted and all the others who've done so well. I feel so much happier and more confident, no longer self-conscious and thinking how people must be saying, 'Goodness, HC's put on a lot of weight over the last few years!' - which they must have been doing, as I really was overly plumptious (actually, I was just into the 'obese' category). I no longer dive for cover if someone gets out a camera, I can wear my wedding ring again after two years and I no longer feel like 'the fat one'. :j
So go for it!0 -
WOW well done HC!
you make me feel newly inspired (again!). decided that i have to shift this weight once and for all this time else i will spend the rest of my life feeling miserable about my size. only want to lose another stone and a half but i have so little willpower and when granny gets her cake out each morning and says fancy a slice..well i dont have the heart to say no!
had three sausages and a banana for lunch...lmao all a bit..um..shaped..but was on the run. Am now going to make a casserole up for tea which i shall have with cauli and broccoli and just do some spuds for the kidlets.Credit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200 -
