Only lost 1lb this week, as I anticipated. I've eaten more veg (and just plain overeaten, as I've been working my way through the IPD Cookbook) so perhaps that's it, but probably just because I don't seem to lose a steady amount - it's 4lb one week and 1lb the next for me. Like Gilly says, it's zigzaggy (I like that word!). What did you eat that was naughty, Gilly? And how did Sazzy punish you?
Well done, Sue and Sazzy. You must both feel pretty damn good!
Sorry, Pink - did I make assumptions, and 68 is simply your house number? If you are 40, I'm 42 if that makes you feel any better!
Difficult times coming up.OH's birthday (dinner out), DDs' 18th birthdays (dinner out), loads of university open days (buffet lunch) and interviews (me kicking my heels for a few hours in a strange city, trying to keep away from Cafe Nero and its hot chocolate, which calls to me like the Sirens), lunch with an old friend next week, and then all those Christmassy things.
All manageable, but I'm going to have to be very firm with myself. Come back, Tink, with your waggy finger!0 -
Look, I'm 43 so that makes all of you young whipper snappers:D Sounds like a tricky time ahead HC, but I have complete faith in you:D I know what you mean about the lure of Cafe Nero - do they do a sugar-free hot chocolate, might be worth asking? I must admit I've become rather partial to cocoa that I make with Green &Black's cocoa powder and sainsbury's long life soya milk. It's quite hardcore lol - no sugar or sugar substitute in it. But I do love it now, it's very intense and does the job of feeling like a treat when I need something indulgent. Especially in this cold weather. Would add cream to it too if I wasn't banning dairy... mmm yum!
sue - I think tinks got a bit fed up with boards elsewhere on MSE - but I could be wrong about that. But either way, I hope she comes back soon:)
Busy sazzy day at work today, so better mobilise coffee and press on.
Have a great everyone, much love to all

You lot are so sweet!
It's other areas of the forum that have wound me up - i always seem to be rubbing people up the wrong way
And on here I feel like all I ever do is point out where people are going wrong, which isn't very supportive. So I'm sorry for that.
Still going to keep a lower profile for a while, but don't worry, i'm still lurking and am very pleased that you're all doing so well!0 -
ok ok so i'm 40 now...lol
and i put on half a pound which isnt too bad considering the amount i ate over the weekend. back on track and hoping for a good loss this week.( stuck to my menu planner so far so here's hoping!)

Tinks welcome back!!
Its been a hard week for me and thats why I have been so quiet.I lost 2lbs last week and then overate on Saturday and put it back on again:eek: I didnt eat anything bad just too much:rolleyes:
As of this morning I've lost it again though which is a relief:j.I've discovered a new favourite meal for me its fish in cheese sauce with veg.I know its not exactly earth shattering but I have developed a real taste for it:o
Sazzy dont be too hard on poor old Gilly as he's just a man and all of us women know they have no willpower:rotfl:
As for the age debate I'm a very very young looking 43yr old so Sazzy you arent that much older than the rest of us:D

you're all much older than me
I'm 270 -

- yeah that's right tinks, rub it in:D:D I was 27 once... I think:o :rotfl:
So how is everyone today? Gawd, I'm not loving this weather. I try to go to bed on time, but when the alarm goes off at 6 I am still dead to the world:o
Anyway, got to find positives somewhere; at least we're halfway through the week. Unless you're poor gilly who has to sit a work-related exam on saturdayI think after this week work should start calming down for both of us and we have some much-needed time off work booked in the run-up to christmas, to look forward to.
And speaking of looking forward to things, we have the M&S aberdeen angus burgers for dinner tonight, which are delish, with some mushrooms... . And even tho we are excluding dairy at the mo, I am strongly tempted to get a slab of blue cheese to melt on top:Dravylesley wrote:Sazzy dont be too hard on poor old Gilly as he's just a man and all of us women know they have no willpower:rotfl:
lol - I'm saying nowt!:silenced: :rotfl: I'm only being lenient coz he made my lunch for me today:D
Have a lovely day everyone
Much love,
