    But it does sound like the chargers will be sent out automatically.

    You cant track them until they have been dispatched.You can then track them via the DHL website.I got 2 V220s this morning both locked,no manual or chargers.You can unlock them yourself but you have to downgrade the software and then unlock it.You then have to upgrade the software back to the original.You need 2 free software programs to do this plus a mini usb cable that plugs into the fone.

    Are you "in the know"? I have the bits of software required to unlock, but not sure how to downgrade and then upgrade - any ideas? Has anyone got it sussed yet? Unfortunately, I can't do anything more with mine just yet, as the battery needs charging up - apparently you need a full battery to do stuff with the "Flash" :confused:

    Well I've had some fun today with O2 - lots of phone calls - heres what I've been offered.

    1. You're not getting a charger - If you don't want the phone send it back within 14 days for a full refund
    2. Take it up with Motorola - its their phone, we just sell 'em. :rolleyes:
    3. We are sending out chargers to all 700 people who received phones yesterday without charger - your 14 days does not start until you receive the full order (i.e. charger)
    4. We don't have any chargers in stock (when I pointed out they do, they said they that was not their stock :confused: )
    5. You are not getting an instruction book
    6. We'll see if we can obtain an instruction book for you
    7. Take the phone to an O2 store and ask them to replace it for you
    (This was a laugh - the manager told O2 on the phone that he had done this previously a couple of times and got bollocked by head office - he ain't doing it again because he never got the goods refunded :cool: )
    8. I was told to buy phone in O2 store for £49.99 and O2 will send me a cheque for the full cost (yeah, right! If the O2 store manager can't get the money off O2, what chance have I? :rolleyes: )
    9. Return the phone and we will send it back to you with the charger (Why not just send me the charger? :confused: )
    10. These are old phones. They are no longer produced by Motorola. We don't have any more in stock and because they are obsolete, no one else in the UK will have this model phone for sale. :eek:
    11. We are sending you today a brand new phone, with charger, instructions, everything - should be with you Monday or Tuesday latest. Its up to you what you do with the current phone. :j :beer: :T

    Take your pick. O2 Customer care appear to tell you whatever you want to hear. :mad:

    What is particularly interesting here is that by (a) taking my money and (b) delivering the goods, albeit partly, O2 have agreed to the contract to sell. This could get fun. O2 are now contractually obliged to fulfil the order. If they fail to do so, I can take steps to recover from O2 the cost of fulfilling the order which appears to be £49.99 based on the price their own stores are selling these phones for.

    I feel there could be quite a few county court actions soon if O2 don't get this mess sorted out. ;)

    Better still call them free on 0800 005 005. (Not from a mobile of course!)

    It's for contract customers really, but they'll put you through to the correct department. If they ask for a mobile number, give the one that's on the sim that they've just sent you.

  • My phone doesnt have a charger either,also has a big scratch on the display screen
    How can i make sure its PAYG and not a monthly top up charge.

    How you pay for calls depends on the SIM card you put in it.
