A quick report in for me for this week and I am reporting a 2.5 lb loss! Amazing how having no money for food helps the weight loss!

Ah, the w.i.'s are flooding in:D . Youngbean you are doing so well: really glad all the effort you are putting into exercising is paying off for you now. Really shows it was so worth sticking at it when things were slow at first. Laine - well done for the sts- -don't forget you had that scare with your son/bike when you eat more. So you have done very well not to put on. Do you know when you difficult times of day are for eating the wrong things, or it it more when things are difficult with your son?
Bindi - fab to read you enjoyed the hols and the food so much : no guilt:j :j which is how it should be, then back to plan:j . Some good results from peeps who were expecting big gains too after celebrating/hols or generally troughing a little more than they planned:D .
Remarkably I have sts, for the 7th week in a row. As a result I have had my yummy treat pud early, coz I'm worth it:A

    Afternoon all,

Sorry I've not been around lately. I've been busy re-adjusting to life in the UK - and swotting up for uni.

Shocking news this week - despite being my TOTM I have a loss to report  ! That's never happened before (I always STS) - it's practically a miracle!

Anyways - its a 2.4lbs loss for me this week! Yippee! Just 2 more kilos to my mini target :D

    Hi BB

Both really i comfort eat emotionally and also when i'm stressed its always after the event i think i over analize everything i would say everyday my sons behavior is devasting and for a little while i thought he was doing it on purpose :o (really hated me or something) because i really couldnt understand , but i realised i had to change my way of thinking as he cant change his to try and understand him which i can now do mostly although i admit not always :o it really makes me feel i have failed him although i know deep down i havnt as i fought for years just to get someone to listen , i think i just got myself into one big vicious circle and it went on for far to long it was weird i looked at a picture of myself i was 19 and 13stone and i still felt exactly the same about myself as i did about 8 weeks even though i was 26stone lighter at the time it was than i realised i had confused the fat with the person i was making them one in the same so i thought i was fat , ugly and a horrible person because of my weight and i now realise that i'm not , yes i am very overweight but i'm a nice person and i'm no supermodel but my looks arnt too bad and so i realised i loved who i was because i was me and because i loved me i wanted to lose the weight for my health and to make the best of myself because i finally realised i am worth it and i think thats how i always give up so quickly before because i really believed i didnt matter.
Thanks BB you made me think why i was doing this again.
    sorry i went on abit

Laine, thank you for much for sharing that (and you certainly didn't 'go on a bit'). What you have learnt, about separating you as a person from how society sees overweight people is so important, and so difficult to achieve. Keep telling yourself those positive things Laine, for you are a worthwhile person, and kindness is to be one of the attributes I rate most highly in someone. Kindness can change lives.
You've described a huge breakthrough in how you see yourself and many never get that far in working on those inner feelings and thoughts. I think having to cope with your sons difficulties, with no one else to share that burden takes courage and a deep well of love and energy. To offer endless love to someone who isn't able to give back must be very draining.
Self knowledge I think is the most important first step to change: it certainly has been for me and is very much an ongoing process. Keep up the good work:T :T , because to coin a phrase 'you're definitely worth it'!!

Ooh Granny, I love Alnwick and around there, beautiful. I drove all the way up there to have a chat with Bruce Parry (think 'Tribe') about my book and the dangers of undercover reporting - I used to do some crazy things! :o (Before you think I'm a random stalker, I used to go to school with him - although I don't really remember him - so he was happy to meet up). Have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks Bails. Now, tell me more about your book and being an undercover reporter.. .please.

Chart time peeps. 1st week of the august challenge. SOTW is our Delly:j :j , who's clocked in with an excellent 4lb loss. Closely followed by kpc with 3.5lbs:j . Well done you two and to everyone who has lost or sts. And every one who has gained (and only a little) knows why.
And a number of peeps struggling with health issues have done superbly well this week too (yes that's you dragon and pooh:D )
