1lb gain .... better than I expected and only 6 more school days to go. :j :j
vix ... I don't think you should ever help a man in a brown courdroy coat, old or not. Especially if he wants a bra fitting.0 -

Well done to all losers and STS (especially those now aiming for it). Congrats to all who 'gained' a lot less then they expected and hugs for those who gained without meaning to.
Being 'aware' is incredibly motivating. It's the reason I'm sticking around this time. I've lost the weight before but old habits slip back so easily and the weight gain is so slow that one morning you wake up and wonder how it happened >< This time, even if I gain, I'll not be too worried as I'll know about it and can take steps to take control back again.
Most astonishing quote:I haven't exercised today

Can I add a 2lb loss this week please. Yes, it's official - I went to class on Monday night0 -
Hi all. Well, I am quite impressed with myself on my achievement last night. After putting DD to bed, I went out and cycled 20.5km on my new bike. Not a bad achievement for a first proper go. It's interesting how different places look when you are cycling then when you are driving. It's also far better than sitting on a bike machine in the gym where I get quite bored (even with music). All in all, a good first proper go and it and it wasn't that hard either (nothing is hard compared to running!).
I am also please to report that I managed to have a victory-bootcamp-style week (well, not that strict but quite strict) and I have lost 5.5lbs of the 6lbs I gained last week (!)0 -
I lost only 1.6 lbs this week. It is totm so not too disheartened. On track to get to my first goal by the time I go on hol.0

That's so difficult as it's nearly impossible without knowing anything about who you're buying for. Also is it just a wedding gift for him or both of them?
Do I get the impression he doesn't like to leave the pub? Try the following site http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/searchSite.do?Query=over+250. I like the casino but maybe just browsing around the site will give you some ideas
EDIT
Oh noes! I wish I hadn't checked this site. It's been a long time since I browsed it. I'm loving this http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/usb-turntable/index.html!
Can I join the 'I'm not having a holiday' club please? For some reason I never seem to have money for them0 -
KPC & Granny well done on your "not as bad as it could have been" gains! Ajax
better luck next week.
Well done on great losses Erlqueen, Efrieze (spectacular!) and Bindiboo!
Lol Erlqueen re the quote :rotfl: I agree with you about the slow weight gain, that's what happened to me. I'd never needed to watch my weight, and never even had to THINK about weight before my son was born and while he was little, then suddenly I realised it had crept on over a few years without me noticing
Well done on the cycling Efrieze yes that is a lot for a first proper go! Brilliant! Have you got some good roads for cycling near where you live? As for my 5km best time, all my times are outdoors ones not treadmill - I thought you had some faster times for outside? Obviously I can't swear that the distance is 100% accurate, though if anything I'm going a little further as "Map My Run" probably measures straight down the middle of a road, whereas I have to criss-cross roads a bit to stay on the safer side.
My scales predictably shot up after doing no exercise yesterday  (even though calories were under maintain levels). I was going to do a giant exercise session today but that tends to make the scales shoot up too  (can't win!) so I think I will compromise with a 'slow' 10km run and a 'medium' hour on the exercise bike. TOTM looming too so I'm really up against it now for the rest of the week.
Good luck for everyone still to weigh in today *fingers crossed*0 -

I just cycled round the streets of North London (!) - Finchley and Muswell Hill last night. Thankfully it's quite flat round near me which makes it easier to get into the flow of cycling. I really quite enjoyed it. It's been 10 years since I cycled (at university) but I remembered it 'like riding a bike':rotfl:0
